PSS was subsequently transformed into Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) in 1984 as per the instruction of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Recently, IBPS started the Common Written Examination (CWE) for enlisting officers and clerks in Indian Bank alongside accepting online application via its official website. The IBPS CWE, earlier known as the IBPS Bank PO exam has been conducted every year since 2011 and it will now be taking place in 2018 in its 8th edition. The IBPS CWE 2018 is for onboarding of candidates for the 27 public sector banks and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs).
