The CTET application form for 2026 is no longer available as the registration period has concluded. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted in an offline (Pen-and-Paper/OMR) mode across the country at various exam centres.
The CBSE has declared the CTET 2026 exam date, and the official notification was made available earlier this year. On 6th September 2026, the CBSE CTET test will be held. Candidates are encouraged to review the CTET 2026 syllabus, eligibility criteria, and exam pattern ahead of the test. The CTET registration deadline for this session was 10th June 2026, followed by an application correction window that ended on 18th June 2026. The Board will confirm the exact shift timing and venue details on the admit card of the candidate, which will be released two days prior to the examination. As per the official notice, the test will be conducted in 20 languages throughout the country.

The application fee for General / OBC Category for Paper I or II is Rs. 1000/- and for both the Paper I and II is Rs. 1200/-. For SC/ST/Diff. Abled person, the application fees for Paper I or Paper II is Rs. 500/- and for both papers and II is 600/-. For more details candidates can check the official site of CBSE CTET.
Central Teacher Eligibility Test is one of the entrance exams which is conducted by the Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE) for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class I to Class VIII.
CTET was held for the first time in 2011 which was introduced by the Government of India in order to improve standards in teaching.

Candidates who have completed Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) and are pursuing or have passed a 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed program are eligible to sit for both Paper-I and Paper-II.
This Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) consists of two papers. Candidates who choose the Paper-I will teach the Classes I to V whereas Paper-II for Classes VI to VIII. Aspirants can also apply for both the papers. The duration of each paper is two hours and thirty minutes. The exam consists of 150 objective-type questions.

The CTET Admit Card 2026 will be made available around two days before the exam. In order to take the CTET 2026 exam, candidates must first obtain their CTET admit Card 2026. The admit card is the most important document required to take the CTET examination. The CBSE has will released the CTET admit card on prior to the examination. The registered candidates are advised to visit the official website regularly to download CTET admit card.
Candidates need to enter their login credentials such as registration number or application number to download the CTET admit card. After download CTET admit card, candidates should check whether the details are correctly printed or not. In case of any discrepancy, candidates should immediately contact the CTET Unit for necessary corrections.

The most important point is candidates should report at the examination centre at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the examination. Candidates should also carry a photo identity card issued by the central or state government along with CTET admit card to the examination centre for verification.
