Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) Exam

JEE will be conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions.

The Joint Entrance Exam will be conducted in two parts, JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. JEE (Main) replaces the AIEEE entrance exam and JEE (Advanced) replaced the IIT-JEE entrance exam from 2017. The aim of the common entrance test has been mooted to reduce stress on students., who have to appear for multiple entrance examinations and to give greater relevance to the school education, especially the class 12 board examinations.

JEE Advanced Mock Test Link Activated

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur has activated the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mock Test Link on 21 April, 2025 on the official website - jeeadv.ac.in. The JEE Advanced 2025 Registration process will start from 23 April, 2025 at 10:00 AM for the candidates who are qualified for the JEE Main 2025. The JEE Advanced 2025 Application window will be opened till 02 May, 2025 till 11:59 PM. The Registration fee payment deadline or the last date is 05 May, 2025 upto 11:59 PM. The JEE Advanced 2025 Exam will be conducted on 18 May, 2025 with Paper 1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM & Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

The questions will be of objective type, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates. In some sections, incorrect answers will be awarded negative marks. JEE Advanced 2025

IIT Kanpur is the organising institute of JEE Advanced 2025.The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2025 will be conducted by the seven Zonal Coordinating IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board 2025 (JAB) 2025.The performance of a candidate in JEE Advanced 2025 will form the basis for admission to the Bachelors, Integrated Masters, and Dual Degree Programs (Entry at the 10+2 level), mentioned in clause 2, in all the IITs in the academic year 2024-25.The decisions of JAB 2025 will be final in the matters related to JEE Advanced 2025 and admission to IITs in the academic year 2024-25.

JEE (Advanced) 2025 examination will consists of two papers.Both the papers are compulsory.Each paper is of 3 hours duration and will have questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.The complete examination will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.The questions will be in both English and Hindi languages.The candidates will have the option to choose their preferred language during the examination.

Difference Between JEE Main And JEE Advanced

• In order to appear for the JEE Advanced, JEE Main is the eligibility test. 
• The National Testing Agency (NTA) vested with the authority to conduct the JEE Main from 2019 onwards. 
• IITs under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB) on rational basis will conduct the JEE Advanced. 
• Only top 2,50,000 students in JEE Main including reserved categories are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. 
• Candidates can appear JEE Advanced only for two consecutive times.Students can appear for three times consecutively years for JEE Main. 
• There is no fixed exam pattern for JEE Advanced.For JEE Main, NTA defines the clear exam pattern.

JEE Advanced Exam Analysis 2025

The JEE Advanced 2025 examination will be conducted on 18 May, 2025 in two shifts.The first paper held between 9 AM to 12 Noon and the second paper between 2.30 PM & 5.30 PM.Around 1.8 lakh candidates appeared for the entrance exam though 2.5 lakh aspirants are eligible for the exam.The JEE Advanced is a computer-based test (CBT) and the total number of questions is 54.However, the total number of marks for Paper-II was increased from 180 to 186.The total number of questions is 186 which is divided into two parts.
