National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (PG) Exam

NBE is an autonomous body established in 1975 under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. It was established as a Society under Delhi Society registration act, to standardising postgraduate medical education and examination in India.

NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section (10) of Indian Medical Council Act 1956.

It is a single window entrance examination for PG courses. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 w.e.f. 2021 admission session.

What is the NEET PG?

The National Eligiblity and Entrance Test for Post-Graduation, or NEET PG, is administered nationwide to candidates seeking admission to different MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), and PG Diploma Programs. The computer-based exam is administered by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) once a year. The results are also used to determine who get admitted to MBBS DNB Postgraduate courses. Exams are held for 26,168 MD Seats, 13,649 MS Seats, and 922 PG Diploma seats are provided by Indian Medical Institutes.

NEET PG Exam 2025 Registration Started

The National Medical Commission, i.e. NMC has released the registration windown for the NEET PG Examination 2025. Candidates who are interested in MD / MD / PG Diploma courses for 2025-26 can start the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Post Graduate 2025 on the official website - natboard.edu.in.  The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the exam dates for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Post Graduates (NEET PG) exam will be conducted on 15th June, 2025 on a Computer-Based Test in Two Shifts at various test centres across the country.

The NEET PG 2025 Result will be declared by 15th July, 2025.

NBE has announced NEET PG Information Bulletin 2025

National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released NEET PG 2025 Registration from 16 April, 2025 National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Postgraduate 2025 has been activated on the official website - nbe.edu.in.

Candidates who are interested have to register online and submit application form for NEET PG 2025. NBE has released the schedule NEET PG 2025 exam dates. The Exam will be held online mode on 15th June, 2025.

NEET-PG 2025 shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to MD / MS / PG Diploma Courses for the academic session 2025-26 which will include the following:

• All India 50% quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
• State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)
• MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country
• MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
• Post MBBS DNB Courses, Direct 6 years Dr.NB Courses and Post MBBS NBEMS Diploma Courses.

NEET PG 2025 Highlights

Note: Registration and submission of application form for appearing in the NEET-PG 2025 are to be undertaken online at the website https://nbe.edu.in/.

Application forms cannot be submitted in the offline/printed copy by post.

The following Medical institutions are not covered by centralized admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET-PG for 2025-26 session:

• AIIMS, New Delhi and Other AIIMS
• PGIMER, Chandigarh
• JIPMER, Puducherry
• NIMHANS, Bengaluru
• Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram

No State Government / Private Medical College / Universities shall be conducting, any separate entrance for admission to their MD / MS / PG Diploma Courses for the admission session 2025-26.

How to apply for NEET-PG 2025?

Step 2 : On the homepage, Click on NEET-PG 2025

Step 3 : Click on Application link for NEET-PG 2025

Step 4 : Enter login credentials and fill in the NEET PG Application Form.

Step 5 : Submit the form after verifying the details.

Step 6 : Download the same and save/keep it for future reference.

National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test -Postgraduate is an eligibility & ranking test prescribed as the entrance examination for admission to MD / MS / PG Diploma Courses for the academic session 2025-26.

NEET PG Scores Valid for admission to the following:

1. State quota seats for MD/MD/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union Territories of India, Including the three previously stated, with the exception of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Telangana.

2. All India 50% Quota Seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses across all states

3. Private medical colleges, institutions, and universities, as well as deemed universities, offer MD, MS and PG Diploma Programs througout India.

4. Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions offer MD, MS and PG Diploma Programs.

NEET PG 2025 Application form Process

The procedure of submitting an application for NEET PG Includes registering, filling out of the form, paying the exam fee, and uploading the supporting documentation. Registration is the first step in the application process. Candidates may only submit their NEET PG Application via registering on the NBE's official website - nbe.edu.in. Following the successful completion of the NEET PG Registration 2025 process, a login ID and password will be generated. Candidates must upload scanned copies of their identification documents and signatures in order to finish the application procedure. These photos have to meet the requirements listed by NBE. In order to sumit their NEET PG applications in 2024, candidates must pay a non-refundable application fee.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will declare the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can visit the official website - natboard.edu.in to check & download their results. The NEET PG Exam 2025 was conducted on 15th June, 2025 and result will be declared by 15th July, 2025

Step 2: On the hompage, check Public Notice Section & Click on the link that reads "Results of NEET PG 2025"

Step 3: The notice will appear on the screen.

Step 4 : Once you read the notice, click on the link " Click here to view the Results of NEET PG 2025".

Step 5: A PDF will appear on the screen.

Step 6: Check the result and download it & take printout & keep it for future reference.
