National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Master of Dental Surgery (NEET-MDS) is a competitive entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE)
NEET-MDS is an eligiblity-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MDS Courses under Dentistis Act, 1948 (amended from time to time).
NBE was established in 1975 and it is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. NBE was established as a Society under Delhi Society registration act, to standardizing postgraduate medical education and examination in India.
NEET-MDS is a single window entrance examination for Dental PG courses. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MDS Courses. Qualifying NEET-MDS is mandatory for entry for MDS courses under various Universities / Institutes in the country.
NEET-MDS 2025 shall be a single eligibility cum entrance test for admissions to MDS Courses for the academic session 2025 which will include the following:

Registration and submission of application form for appearing in the NEET-MDS 2025 are to be undertaken online at the website www.nbe.edu.in. Application forms cannot be submitted in the offline/printed copy by post.
The following Dental institution is not covered by centralized admissions for MDS courses through NEET-MDS for 2025 session:
No state government / private dental college / Universitiesshall be conducting any separate entrance for admission to their MDS Courses for the admission session 2025.
PG seats of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are likely to be included in 50% All India Quota Seats 2024 subject to confirmation by the respective State Governments to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt.
of India.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has extended the registration window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2025. Candidates who are interested and eligible can submit the application till 6 April, 2025. The NEET MDS 2025 exam will be held on 19 April, 2025 in a single shift from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon & NEET MDS 2025 Admit card will be released on 15 April, 2025.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) has officially announced the Notiification for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) 2025 on 18 February, 2025. Candidates can start the registration process for NEET MDS 2025 from 18 February, 2025 to 10 March, 2025 till 11:55 PM. The NEET MDS 2025 Exam will be conducted on 19th April, 2025.

Aspirants eligibility is purely provisional & is subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria as prescribed by the NBE/DCI/University/Dental College or Institute.
Registration is the first step in the NEET MDS 2025 Admission process. Candidates for the PG entrance exam must register on the NBE's official website. After successful registration, candidates can proceed to complete the NEET MDS 2025 Application. The following procedures are included in the NEET MDS 2025 Application process.
1. Create an account on the official website to obtain a User ID & Password.
2. Complete the application
3. Upload your signature & photo
4. Make the necessary fee payments.
5. Take a hardcopy of the completed application form, making sure to include the transaction ID.
The rectification ability to change applications will be available to those who submit their NEET MDS Applications by the deadline.
Candidates cannot be under the age of twenty.
Candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery Course, must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a University or Institute of India and registered with the State Dental Council (SDC) has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved / recognised dental college.
Candidate who after passing the final qualifying examination (BDS or the foreign dental degree recognized by GoI / DCI), is undergoing 12 Month compulsory rotatory internship / practical training and is likely to complete the same by 31 March, 2025 can tak up this examination, but he / she shall not be eligible for admission unless he / she has completed the compulsory rotatory internship and obtained provisional or permanent registration on or before 31 March, 2025 or the candidate produces a certificate from the head of Institution that he / she will be completing internship by 31 March, 2025.

A candidate has to choose the city in which he/she wants to take the test.
Therefore, the choice of the city will depend on the availability of the test centre in a particular city and the allotment shall be done on first come first serve basis.
The exact venue will be informed to the candidates through admit cards. The Candidates shall make their own arrangement for travel / boarding etc.
NEET MDS Result 2025 will be announced on 19 May, 2025. The NBE will make available the NEET MDS result online in the form of a scorecard and merit list. Initially, the merit list will be made available, allowing candidates to view their rank and total score. Candidates must get the NEET MDS scorecards from the official website by entering their registration credentials. The scorecards will be made available later. The NEET MDS Cut-off will be made public by NBE along with the outcome.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released a change for the NEET-MDS 2025 Examination. The NBEMS has released a notification that new structure will apply for all MCQ based examinations conducted on a computer-based test.
Mandatory time-bound sections in NEET-MDS 2025 Question Paper
As already notified by NBEMS vide its notice dated 4th May, 2024, it has been decided to introduce mandatorytime-bound sections in all NBEMS MCQ-based examinations, such as NEET-PG, NEET-MDS, NEET-SS, FMGE, DNB-PDCET, GPAT, DPEE, FDST and FET which are conducted on a computer - based platform. This measure has been implemented to enhance the security and sancity of the exams in light of emerging threats during the examination process.
Accordingly, the question paper for NEET-MDS will be divided into two time-bound Parts (A & B) in the question paper, Part A having 100 questions and 75 minutes of time allotted and Part B having 140 questions & 105 minutes of time allotted.
Candidates would be restricted to proceed to the next part until completion of the allotted time of the previous part and candidates would not be allowed to review the questions / modify the responses of a part after the completion of the allotted time of that part. Questions of the next part will start automatically after the completion of the allotted time of the previous part.

The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) has officially reduced the qualifying cut-off percentile for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024 across all categories by 21.692, including General, SC, ST, OBC and UR-PWD.
Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has released the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET) - Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) 2024 Seat Allotment result for Round 1 on 10 July, 2024. NEET PG, MDS Counselling 2022 Dates : Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has finally published the complete schedule for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET PG counselling 2022. NEET PG, MDS 2022 Counselling Schedule are available on mcc.nic.in.
