NEET MDS Examination Pattern

The National Board of Examination (NBE) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) 2025 Notification on 18 February, 2025.

The NEET MDS 2025 Exam Pattern and the information bulletin for the entrance exam will be made on the official website - nbe.edu.in, by the National Board of Examination (NBE). The NEET MDS 2025 exam will be conducted on 19 April, 2025. For optimal preparation, dental graduate who intend to sit for the postgraduate dental entrance exam should familiarise themselves with the NEET MDS Paper format. At the time of online registration, a candidate will be required to choose the city in which he/she wants to take the test.

NBE will use Computer-Based Testing (CBT) to administer the NEET MDS. The CBT exam covers the BDS Syllabus, which comprises Pre-Clinical, Clinical, and Paraclinical topics, in accordance with the NEED MDS exam pattern. The exam consists of 240 multiple-choice questions in total. The NEET MDS exam will be conducted for three hours test (3 Hours), which will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

NEET-MDS shall be a multiple choice questions exam delivered on the computer-based platform (CBT). The examination comprises of 240 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Time allotted is 3hrs.

There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

 During the examination candidates are given an option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review which means that candidate has been given an option to go through these questions again before the examination time ends. The NEET MDS Result 2025

The NEET MDS result 2025 will be made public by the authorities as a merit list following the conclusion of the postgraduate dental test. The candidate's information, including their roll number, marks received (out of 960), and qualifying status, will be listed in the NEET MDS 2025 merit list. The authority will also release the marks that correspond to the qualifying percentile in addition to the NEET MDS Results.

There shall be NO-re-evaluation or rechecking or re-totalling of responses marked by the candidates. Requests / Queries of re-evaluation / re-totalling shall not be entertained.

Applicants who meet the NEET MDS Cutoff by 2025 will be qualified to participate in the counselling procedure. In 2025, the Medical Counselling Committe (MCC) will administer the NEET MDS Counselling for 50% of the AIQ seats that are provided by government dental institutions, deemed / central institutes, ESIC, and AFMC colleges throughout India.
