CBSE has released a notification for the 20th edition of the CTET.
The entrance exam is going to be conducted twice a year for teaching positions from class 1 to 8 in central government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalaya, Central Tibetan Schools and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya besides schools under the administrative control of the union territories (UTs).
CTET 2024 Syllabus: The CBSE CTET Exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 & Paper 2. The CTET Paper 1 is for teachers in Classes 1 to 5, and the CTET Paper 2 is for teachers in Classes 6 to 8. The CTET 2024 Syllabus comprises section-by-section subjects for both examinations, from which questions in the test are asked. CTET Paper 1 covers topics from five sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language - I, Language - II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies, while CTET Paper 2 covers topics from four sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language - I, Langauge - II, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies / Social Sciences.
The CTET 2024 Exam evaluates applicants' eligibility to teach in government schools such as KVS, NVS, Private Schools, State Government Schools and others. Aspirants must take CTET 2024 Paper 1 if they want to teach in Classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 if they want to teach in Classes 6 to 8. Those who wish to teach in Classes 1-8 must pass both exams. Candidates who intend to take the CTET Exam for the 18th time should start studying right now. The CTET January 2024 exam process in underway.
