CTET Selection Procedure

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) administers the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) at the national level.

CTET administed by the CBSE is an exam that certifies a candidate's eligibility to apply to teacher recruitment in Central Institutions, including KVS, NVS, and others, for Classes 1 through 8. Every year, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) establishes rules that the Cental Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) uses to administer the CTET exam. Every year, the CBSE uses a set CTET exam or selection procedure.

The CTET exam or selection process starts with the official notification and release of the application form. It then moves on to the release of the admit card, the exam itself, the release of the answer key, and the annoucement of the results, along with the release of the mark sheet and certificates. Each exam session adheres to this predetermined CTET exam process 2024.

The CTET Certfiicate will remain valid for a lifetime.

Candidates who pass CTET Paper I will be qualified to teach classes 1-5, while those who pass Paper II will be qualified to teach courses 6-8.

Depending on the institution to which the candidate has applied, the final selection procedure for teaching positions may include an interview and / or document verification

It is a qualifying exam, the CTET.

Based on their CTET results, candidates are said to have passed the exam. Candidates in the general category must receive 60% or above the exam in order to be eligible to receive the CTET eligibility certificate, according to the CTET qualification 2024 requirements. Conversely, candidates belonging to the reserved group must score at least 55% in the test.

According to the CTET Selection procedure, passing the exam is merely one of the qualifying requirements for the teacher appointment process; it does not automatically entail the hiring of applicants in any kind of school, public or private. After passing the CTET test, candidates can apply for jobs at central government schools (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc)., as well as those run by the governments of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.

Applicants may also seek to be hired as teachers at private institutions that accept CTET results through 2025.

Selection Procedure Of CTET 2024:

The CTET  is a qualifying examination used to determine candidate's eligibility for teaching positions in the country's government schools. CTET Paper I is for teaching grades I-V, whereas CTET Paper II is for teaching classes VI-VIII. They can also take both papers. Candidates who pass the exam are eligible to apply for teaching positions. Important information is provided below.

• The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the written exam and in order to qualify the written exam, candidates should score a minimum of 60% or above
• Persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc. may get concessions from some schools as per their reservation policy
• Once the candidates clear the CTET examination, they can apply to schools for the relevant teacher posts and undergo the selection procedure for appointment
• The candidates who clear the CTET 2024 will be issued certificates, which can remain valid for appointment seven years from the date of announcement of the result
• Once the certificate is received, candidates can apply in private and central govt.

Note:

All the candidates may note that qualifying the CTET exam would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

If the candidate who have qualified the exam but he/she is not satisfied with their scores may appear again for improving their scores. So, there is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET certificate.
