The CBSE has completed the registration process for the CTET September 2026 Session. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted in an offline, Pen-and-Paper (OMR) mode across 132 test cities. To ace the upcoming exam, it is necessary to know the exact structural pattern and detailed syllabus. This will assist you in properly preparing for your test papers. The CTET exam consists entirely of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with no negative marking for incorrect answers. The exam comprises two distinct modules: Paper I and Paper II.

Structure and Content of CTET:
All the questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Question (MCQ), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.
There will be two papers of CTET:
(1) Paper I, will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(2) Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
Note:
A person who intents to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Language I : Shall focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instructions. Candidate is required to select any one from the Language list.
Language II : Shall focus on the elements of language, communication & comprehensive abilities. Candidate is required to select any one from the Language list.

2. The candidates must attempt questions in languages opted by him as mentioned in the Admit Card. In case the questions are attempted in any other languages, the candidature of such candidates shall be cancelled.
