The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) was established for conducting Secondary (Class X) and Senior Secondary (Class XII) Board Examinations. Every year, BSEB conducts Annual Secondary School Examination in the month of February/March. The Supplementary School Examination will be held in the month of August/September on the basis of course/syllabus. Apart from the Secondary School Examination, the Board is also vested with authority to conduct departmental examinations, such as Diploma in Physical Education, Certificate in Physical Education and Teachers Training Examination (TET).

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially released the exam schedule for the 2026 board examinations for both Class 10 (Matric) and Class 12 (Intermediate) students. The announcement provides clarity for students, parents, and schools across Bihar. This year, the board will conduct exams in dual shifts to ensure smooth management of examination centres and reduce crowding.

Intermediate (Class 12) Exam Schedule

The BSEB Class 12 exams will be held from 2nd February to 13th February 2026. The examinations will cover all streams, including Science, Commerce, and Arts, and will be conducted at designated exam centres across the state. Students should check their admit cards carefully for detailed information about exam venues and timings.

Matriculation (Class 10) Exam Schedule

The Class 10 (Matric) examinations are scheduled from 17th February to 25th February 2026. These exams are crucial as they mark the completion of secondary education and serve as a foundation for further studies. Like the intermediate exams, matriculation exams will also be conducted at multiple centres across Bihar to ensure accessibility for all students.

Exam Timings and Shifts

To ensure smooth conduct and proper management of examination centres, BSEB will hold exams in two shifts:

Morning Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:15 PM

Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM

Students are advised to arrive at the exam centre at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the examination to complete necessary formalities, including document verification and seating arrangements. Proper preparation, punctuality, and adherence to exam guidelines will help students perform confidently in the Bihar Board Exams 2026.

BSEB Released Admit Cards For Class 12 Practical Exams

The Bihar Examination Board will release the admit card for Intermediate (Class 12) Practical Exams 2026. The practical admit cards can be accessed from the official website of BSEB – biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in.

The board conducted the Practical Examinations between January 10 and 20, 2026. The principals and headmasters of schools are directed to download the admit cards by entering their user ID and password. 

After downloading the BSEB practical Admit Card, they need to issue them to the students by putting signature and school stamps. Students who face any difficulty regarding the practical admit cards can contact the BSEB helpline numbers 0612-2232249, 2227587 and 2227588.

Candidates have to note that they should obtain at least 30 per cent of total marks in the theory and 40 per cent in practical of each subject to pass in the Intermediate exam.

The BSEB has extended the online registration last date for Bihar Board Intermediate exams 2022. The educational institutions can now submit the application forms with a late fee till December 17, 2021. 

The Board is likely to release the time table and other details soon.

The Bihar State Examination Board (BSEB) has decided to extend the last date to fill the application form for Class 12 annual exams 2022. The last date to submit the application form is September 3.

Students should note that all heads of school have been instructed to fill the application form for the students online. One can go to the official BSEB website (inter22.biharboardonline.com) to complete the application form.

 

Finally, the BSEB has released Bihar OFSS Intermediate 1st merit list 2021 on August 20 through the portal - ofssbihar.in. Candidates can download their Intermediate intimation letter through the login credentials such as application reference number and mobile number.

The BSEB first list enrollment will be available from August 18 to 24, 2021. 

The BSEB is all set to release the first merit list on the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS) portal for Intermediate admission. Candidates can check at ofssbihar.in. 

As per the sources, students can apply for slide up between August 18 and 24, 2021. 

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will be releasing the dummy registration card for Bihar Board Class 10 and 12 exams 2022. One can access the details on the official website - seniorsecondary.biharboardonline.com and secondary.biharboardonline.com. Students can download the BSEB dummy registration card between July 28 and August 5, 2021.

Students who filled the BSEB intermediate and matric exam form 2022 will be eligible to download the dummy registration card from tomorrow.

The Bihar Board has extended the last date to apply online for OFSS admission. Students can now apply online for admission till July 3, 2021. 

The OFSS website reads, “The online intermediate admission session 2021-23 application last date has been extended till July 3.”

The BSEB will release the Certificates of Bihar Class 10 and Class 10 compartment exams from June 26. It will send the certificates to district offices and these will be available for distribution from June 26, onwards. The sources suggest that the school principals will collect the certificates from the offices and distribute them among students and keep records. 

The official statement reads, "Certificates of students who have passed the annual Madhyamik examination 2020, and Madhyamik compartment exam 2019 are being sent to the offices of district officers and these will be available for distribution from June 26"

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has declared the compartmental result for Class 10 and Class 12 exams 2021. The Bihar Board has decided to award grace marks and promote students who failed in one or two subjects in the annual exams.

The Doordarshan (DD) Bihar has decided to broadcast the online teaching classes for students of Classes 9, 10, 11, and 12 from May 10, onwards. the Bihar Education Department has closed all the schools across the state amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The virtual classes will be held from 10 am to 11 am for students of Class 9 and 10. The online classes for students of Class 11 and 12 will be broadcasted between 11 am and 12 noon. The duration of each subject will be 16 to 17 minutes.
