The main objective of the Department of Government Examination (DGE) is to assess the class 12 students through the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) conducted annually in the months of March/April. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has decided to cancel the Board Exams 2021 for Class 10 and Class 11 for this year due to an ongoing pandemic. It has promoted all the students of Class 9, Class 10 and Class 11 to the next grade without appearing for the examination.
Last year, the Government has also cancelled the board exams for Class 10 and Class 11. It promoted students to the next grade.

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) has released the Date Sheet for Tamil Nadu State Board Higher Secondary Exam (HSE) or Class 12. The TN HSE+2 Examinations will be conducted from May 3 to 21, 2021.
The exams will be conducted from 3rd May 2021 between 10 A.M. to 1:15 P.M. and the candidates will get 10 minutes for reading the question paper and verifying their particulars. This year, more than eight lakh students would appear for the TN HSE+2 Examinations.

The government of Tamil Nadu is all set to reopen the schools for Classes 10 and 12 students. The state health department has directed the staff to screen the students and faculty due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Deputy Directors of Health are advised to use the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram teams to screen the students and faculty for screening. The primary health centre (PHC) teams could be mobilised if required.

The Directorate of Government Examination, Tamil Nadu (TNDGE) has declared the HSE (+1) Plus One supplementary result 2020 on October 29 at 11 am. Candidates who have appeared for the written exams conducted in September can check their TN Plus One Supplementary result 2020 on the official site at dge.tn.gov.in.

One should enter their roll number and date of birth to access the TN HSE (+1) Plus One supplementary results 2020. It has also provided an option for re-checking and re-totalling. Earlier, the Board has released the Class 10 and Class 12 supplementary result 2020.

The Directorate of Government Examination, Tamil Nadu (TNDGE) has released the supplementary exam result 2020 for Class 10 (SSLC) and Class 12 (HSC) on October 28. Candidates who have appeared for the written exam held in September can check their Tamil Nadu Supplementary result 2020 on the official site at dge.tn.gov.in.
Candidates should enter their login details such as roll number and date of birth to check the TN supplementary results 2020 online. Around 50,000 students had appeared for the SSLC Supplementary Examination 2020.
