What is IBPS RRB Exam?

RRB Common Written Exam (CWE) is one of the many bank exams conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). It is conducted for recruitment to Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) or Gramin Banks.

IBPS organizes the RRB CWE exam every year for the recruitment of Officers &  Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in various Regional Rural Banks. The exam is going to be conducted online.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is fully responsible for conducting RRB Common Written Exam (CWE). For the post of Officers Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) the examination will be two-tier i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, preliminary and mains.

IBPS RRB Notification 2021 

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released Common Recruitment Process (CRP) Regional Rural Banks (RRB) notification 2021. It has released the notification for filling Ten Thousand Four Ninety-Three (10,493) vacancies to the post of Group A- Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group B - Office Assistant (Multipurpose) to be posted across India on a full-time basis.

IBPS RRB 2021 Registration Process

Interested candidates who satisfy the prerequisite conditions set by the IBPS will be eligible to apply online for the RRB Officer and Assistant posts. Candidates must apply online on the official IBPS website from June 8, 2021, onwards and submit their applications on or before June 28, 2021, as mentioned in IBPS CRP RRB notification 2021. 

The job profile, roles and responsibilities and salary package of RRB officers are as follows:

Group A Officer Post:

The Group A division has 3 cadres officers, which are Officer Scale I, Scale II and Scale III.

Officer Scale I:

  • The post held by Officer Scale I is a Manager Trainee post in RRBs or Gramin Bank.
  • After completion of two years’ probation period successfully, the PO will get the rank of Assistant Manager.
  • The salary of the newly appointed Officer scale I around Rs. 29,000.

Officer Scale-II:

  • The post held by Officer Scale-II is a manager level post.
  • This post requires experience and professional aptitudes.
  • Specialist recruited candidate to RRB can take this post.
  • The post holder of officer scale – II post has to go through two years of successful probation period and will get a starting salary of around Rs.39300 approx.

Officer Scale-III:

  • The post held by Officer Scale III is a senior manager level post.
  • This post requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking sector or relevant industry experience.
  • The starting salary of Officer Scale – III post is above Rs.50,000.

Group 'B' Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Post:

Office Assistant:

  • This post similar to clerical cadre in other nationalized banks.
  • The post holder may have distinctive roles on an appointment which involves account opening, cash collection, cheque verification etc.
  • The training period for RRB Office Assistant is of 1 year and the starting salary is of Rs. 16250 approx.

The examination may be held at the above centres and the detailed address of the centre will be mentioned in the call letters. IBPS reserves the proper right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and or add some other Centres under any circumstances. The board also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for.

IBPS RRB Clerk Admit Card 2021 Released

IBPS has released the RRB Clerk admit card 2021. Candidates who have registered for the IBPS Clerk RRB exam can download admit card on the official site with their login credentials. 

Candidates need to enter their login credentials such as registration number or roll number and password or date of birth to download the IBPS RRB Clerk admit card.

IBPS RRB Admit Card 2021 For Pre-Exam Training

IBPS is likely to release IBPS RRB admit card 2021 for pre-exam training soon. Candidates who have registered for the exam and eligible for the pre-exam can download the admit card through the official site of IBPS - ibps.in.

The sources suggest that the pre-exam training will be held from July 19 to July 25, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, PET may not be held during this period.

IBPS RRB 2021: Last Day To Apply Online

IBPS will be closing the Regional Rural Banks (RRB) 2021 registration window today. Candidates who have not yet registered for the IBPS RRB 2021 exam can apply online for the exam. 

Candidates should pay the required application fee to complete the registration process. The prelims exam will be held in online mode and the Mains exam in September/ October 2021. The admit cards will be released soon.

IBPS RRB 2021: Provisional Allotment Under Reserve List Released

IBPS has released the list of candidates for IBPS RRB provisional allotment under reserve list 2021. Candidates can visit the official website to check the IBPS RRB provisional allotment list 2021 with their roll number. 

The provisional list of IBPS RRB 2021 was already released for both posts RRB Clerk and RRB PO.

IBPS RRB 2021 Vacancies Increased To 11,000

IBPS has revised the number of vacancies for the RRB recruitment 2021. Now, the IBPS RRB 2021 exam will be held for over 11,000 vacancies. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility conditions set by IBPS can apply online for the posts till June 28, 2021. 

The RRB recruitment exam consists of two posts - Office Assistant and Officer Scale I, II and III.
