IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria

Institute of Personnel Banking has released the IBPS RRB Application Form 2024 - June, 2024. IBPS conducts CWS for Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) Every Year.

Candidates aspriing to take up this examination have to satisfy the following criteria to be eligible to apply for Officer Scale I, II & III Scale Vacancies.

Candidates have to go through the eligibility criteria carefully & fill up the application form of IBPS RRB 2024.

Nationality:

A Candidate must be either:

(i) a Citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit:

The age limit for the candidates as on 01 June, 2024 should be as follows:

For Officer Scale - III (Senior Manager) - Above 21 Years - Below 40 Years i.e. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1984 and later than 31.05.2023 (both dates inclusive)

For Officer Sale - II (Manager) - Above 21 Years - Below 32 Years i.e. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1992 and later than 31.05.2023 (both dates inclusive)

For Officer Scale - I (Assistant Manager) - Above 18 Years - Below 30 Years, i.e., Candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1994 and later than 31.05.2006 (bot dates inclusive)

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) - Between 18 Years and 28 years i.e., Candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.06.1996 and later than 01.06.2006 (both dates inclusive)

The maximum age limit specified above is applicable to General Category candidates and EWS category candidates only.

For other categories the following relaxations would apply:

Age Relaxation:

The age relaxation limit for various categories are as follows:

4 b In the case of Ex-servicemen commissioned officers, including ECOs/SSCOS, who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have released on completion of assignment (Including those whose assignment is due to be completed within the next one year from the last date for receipt for application) other than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability attributable to military service or on invalidment, subject to ceiling as per Government guidelines.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & POSTQUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE (AS on the last date of Online Registration i.e.

21.06.2024)

Office Assistant : Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent and must have proficiency in local language and computer knowledge or awareness will be added qualification as prescribed by the participating RRB/s.

Office Scale - I (Assistant Manager) - Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent. Preference willbe given to the candidates having a degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandary, Veterinary Science, Agriculture Engineering, Pisciculture, agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy and must have proficiency in local language and computer knowledge or awareness will be added qualification as prescribed by the participating RRB/s.

Officer Scale - II General Banking Officer (Manager) - Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having a degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisiculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

Experience - Two Years as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

Officer Scale - II Specialist Officers (Manager) :

(I) Information Technology Officer - Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Science or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Desirable : Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc.

Experience : One Year (in the relevant field).

(II) Chartered Accountant : Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Experience : One Year as a Chartered Accountant.

(III) Law Officer : Bachelore's Degree from a recognised University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Experience : Two Years as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period of not less than two years.

(IV) Treasury Manager : Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a recognized university / institution.

Experience : One Year as a relevant field.

(V) Marketing Officer : MBA in Markeing from a recognized university.

Experience : One Year in the relevant field.

(VI) Agricultural Officer : Bachelor's degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / Dairy / Animal Husbandry / Forestry / Veterinary Science / Agricultural Engineering / Pisciculture from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Experience : Two Year in the relevant field.

Officer Scale - III (Senior Manager) - Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree / Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Marketing, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

Experience : Minimum of 5 Years Experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions.

NOTE : All educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University / Institution / Board recognized by Govt.of India / Approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the result should have been declared on or before 21.06.2024.

*Proficiency of Local Language - For recruitment of Officer Scale I & Office Asssitant (Multipurpose) proficiency of local language as specified below shall be essential qualification:

* Candidates who have already studied the languge of the State in standard VIII or any level above standard VIII in Government recognized Boards of Education / School or having any certificate to the effect for standard VIII or any level above standard VIII would be considered proficient in that local language.

* Where the candidate does not meet the aforesaid requirement in local language at the time of selection, he will be given a time of six months from the date of joining to acquire the proficiency. This period can be extended by the Boards of RRBs within the framework of the rules and provided that such extension should not be beyond the probation period.
