The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) refers to the uniform nomenclature of seven security forces in India under the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs. They are the Assam Rifles (AR), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), National Security Guard (NSG), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
Recruitment is conducted mainly in three modes:
Gazetted Officers: Officers in CAPFs are recruited through Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination conducted by UPSC.
Subordinate Officers: Sub Inspectors are recruited through competitive examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission and they are referred as DASOs (Directly Appointed Subordinate Officers).
Constables: Constables are recruited through competitive examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.
The CAPF AC's 2019 exam notification will release by the Union Public Service Commission. This year there are 398 total vacancies are released for Assistant Commandants (ACs) Posts in the Central Armed Police Forces.
The examination will be held on August 18, 2019, in accordance with the rules for the examination published by the Ministry of Home Affairs in the Gazette of India.
Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) exam results 2018. Candidates who have appeared for the written examination on August 12, 2018, can visit the official website of UPSC to check their result.
The qualified candidates in the CAPF written examination have to attend the Physical Standards Test/Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Standards Tests (MST). The call letter for the physical and medical tests will reach the candidates by February 12, 2019.
The Sashtra Seema Bal (SSB) (a Nodal Authority nominated by Ministry of Home Affairs) will soon intimate the candidates about the date, time & venue of the physical and medical tests, to be conducted by them. The qualified candidates have to register themselves before filling up the Detailed Application Form (DAF) online along with uploading of the scanned copies. The DAF form will be available between January 14 and 28, 2019, till 6 PM.10 January 2019
Central Armed Police Forces Examination Recruitment for Assistant Commandant takes place after a selection procedure that includes Written Examination, Physical Standards/Physically Efficiency Test and Medical Standard Tests, Interview/Personality Test and Final Selection/Merit.
The written examination of CAPF AC's is going to be conducted by UPSC on August 18, 2019, and will comprise two papers, i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II. The questions will be set in English & Hindi.
