IBPS Selection Process 2024

IBPS RRB Selection Process : The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) holds an exam to hire Group 'A' Officers (Scale I, II and III) and Group B Office Assistants (Multipurpose). Candidates are recruited in 43 Regional Rural Rank Branches. IBPS RRB 2024 will shortlist candidates based on their performance in the preliminary, mains and interview rounds. The IBPS RRB Selection Process is varied for each post. The IBPS RRB PO selectoin procedure consists of three stages: Preliminary, Mains and Interview. The IBPS RRB Clerk Selection Process Includes preliminary and Mains exams. The IBPS RRB Selection Process for Officers Scale II and III Includes a single online exam and an interview.

IBPS RRB Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

The IBPS RRB Clerk selection process consists of two exams: preliminary and mains. Because it is a lower-level position, no interview will be done. Candidates are provisionally allotted based on the results of the main exam. The Preliminary exam scores are not included for preparing the merti list. A suitable number of students are selected for the mains exam based on their performance in the preliminary exam.

IBPS RRB Officers Scale I

This post's selection process consists of a preliminary exam, a major exam, and an interview. Candidates are selected for the mains exam based on their preliminary exam scores. Candidates who pass the mains exam are summoned for an interview. The ultimate selection of candidates is based on the results of the main exam and the interview. Selected individuals are granted an appointment as Assistant Manager.

IBPS RRB Officers Scale II and III

Officer Scale II is for Managers, and Officer Scale III is for Senior Managers. All enrolled applicants are obliged to take the Single Level Examination. There is no preparatory examination for this position. All shortlisted candidates for the Single Level Examination must appear before an interview Panel.

Candidates are assigned to these positions based on these positions based on their combined marks from the single-level examination and the interview.

Selection of candidates for the IBPS PO, RRB, Clerk, and SO involves detailed and elaborate process:

Selection process broadly comprises of two stages:

  • Written examination (Prelims and Mains)
  • Personal Interview

Based on candidate's performance in these two rounds he/she would be shortlisted for allotment of posts.

Common Written Examination:

  • Common Written Examination (Prelims and Mains) will be conducted online which consists of objective type questions.
  • Each candidate is required to obtain  a minimum score in each section and also a minimum total score, which will be considered to shortlist the candidate for the interview.
  • An examination is objective type and is for a duration of 120 minutes.
  • The question paper consists of 200 questions with one mark each.
  • Negative marking of 0.25 is assigned.

Common Interview:

  • Candidates who are shortlisted in the written examination for CWE will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations.
  • Total marks allotted for IBPS Interview is 100.
  • Minimum Qualify marks: for General: Above 40% and for SC/ST/PH/OBC/PWD: Above 35%
  • IBPS Department will generate scorecard based on candidate's performance in the written exam and interview with a ratio of 80:20 (CWE & Interview)
  • Candidate qualified in both the exams is shortlisted for provisional Allotment Process

Allotment:

After completion of interview candidates shortlisted will be allotted to one of the Participating Organizations depending on the available vacancies. The allotment of candidates to a participating organisation shall be final, which is made keeping government guidelines in view. Interviews will be conducted at selected centres.

Note: Offer of appointment is solely the decision of the Participating Organisations and shall be final and binding. IBPS has no role here.

Filling the Application Form

After reviewing the notification, candidates who meet the eligibility requirements should fill out the IBPS RRB Application Form. The application form must be completed online exclusively. The application cost is INR 850 for General and OBC Candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PwD Candidates, which can be paid online.

Issue of Admit Card

IBPS RRB Admission cards are provided separately for each job and stage of the examination. The admission card is available online at the official website. The download the admit card, candidates must provide their registration number, roll number, date of birth, or password.

Appearing in the Exam

The IBPS RRB Test is done in several levels. Candidates who apply for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) must take both the preliminary and main exams. For Officer Scale I, candidates need to appear for prelims, mains and interview. Candidates for Officers Scale II and III must take a single-level exam followed by an Interview.

Declaration of Result

The IBPS RRB Results are published online on the official website. To check the status of their results, candidates must enter their registration number or roll number, as well as their date of birth or password. The scorecard and IBPS RRB Cutoff are released a few days after the results have been declared.

IBPS RRB Selection Process 2024: Provisional Allotment

The provisional allotment int he IBPS RRB exam is made in the following manner:

  • On completion of the interview procedure or the mains exam, depending on the number of vacancies to be filled in accordance with the business demands, candidates shortlisted are provisionally allotted to either of the RRBs based on the merit-cum preference.
  • For officers in Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the provisional allotment is restricted within the RRBs of the state chosen.
  • Candidates from the resered category who are selected using the same criteria as those from the general category are treated equally.
  • Own merit candidates from reserved categories who are provisionally allotted under the unreserved (General) category are not considered for a reserved post. However, the initial category entered during the online registration stays untouched.
  • In the event that two or more candidates earn the same score, the merit order is established by the date of birth.
  • The provisional allotment is subject to the candidates meeting the criteria for RRBs and indentity verification.
  • The RRBs handle the letter of appointment, joining formalities, and so forth. The IBPS maintains a reserve list, which is filled based on business needs.
