IBPS Main Syllabus

The Mains Examination of IBPS PO Exam 2024 consists of descriptive papers namely 4+1. The sections under the main examinations include Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General Economy & Banking Awareness. It is important to mention that IBPS has recently introduced a descriptive paper in its mains exam for selection of candidates to the post of Probationary Officer.

Each of the Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General Economy & Banking Awareness constitute to number of questions namely 50, 40 and 20 respectively which adds up to 200 marks. The fifth paper is English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) which has 2 number of questions carrying 25 marks each. It is important to note that the duration of each section is different but range between 30-180 minutes.
