  • When will the registration begin for RRB?

    The Registration for IBPS RRBs typically starts from the month of July.

  • Is it essential to know the local language to apply from a state?

    Yes, particularly the candidates applying for the Officer Scale I and Office Assistants –(Multipurpose) are required to possess expertise in the local language of the State or union territory for which he/she wishes to apply.

  • What is the application Fee for RRB?

    The Application fee is Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates whereas it is Rs 600/- for all other candidates. It is important to note that a person applying for both posts has to pay separately for each post.

  • What is the educational qualification required for various posts in RRB recruitment process?

    For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) : A graduation in any discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent.

    For Officer Scale-I: A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent

    For Officer Scale-II: A graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

    For Officer Scale-III : A graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

  • What is the age limit to apply for RRB CWE?

    The age criteria to apply for the common written test is as below:

    Officer Scale- III: Above 21 years and below 40 years

    Officer Scale- II: Above 21 years and below 32 years

    Officer Scale- I: Above 18 years and below 30 years

    Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Between 18 years and 28 years

    (Category relaxation is applicable according to the category)

  • Under the recruitment process it possible for a candidate to apply for both the posts (Officers and Office Assistants) at a time?

    Yes, a candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer. But candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre. For eg: If a candidate is applying for Officer Scale-I, then he cannot apply for officer scale-II or officer scale-III.

    However, Candidates have to apply separately and also pay the fee separately for each post.

  • RRB exam is held in which mode? Online or offline?

    The Common Written Exam for RRBs will be conducted online.

  • Please let me know the number no of vacancies available in RRB recruitment process ?

    It is not fixed and it depends upon the number of participating banks.

  • When are the result declared?

    Results for the IBPS RRB exam are announced in the month of October.

  • On which date the RRB exam is scheduled?

    Online examination for both the groups of officers is usually held in the month of September.

  • Name the posts available under RRB recruitment?

    There are two levels of posts available in this recruitment process : Group-“A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multi-purpose). Group “A” posts can be considered as correspondent to Probationary Officer and Office Assistants can be considered as correspondent to a Clerk in PSU Banks.
