The Unon Public Sevice Commission has released the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Application Form 2025 on 22 January, 2025. The UPSC IFS Opens the registration from 22 January, 2025, and application must be submitted by 11 February, 2025 till 6:00 PM. Candidates who are eligible & interested can start submitting the application on the official website -upsconline.nic.in.
Candidates can make modifications to your One Time Registration, or OTR Profile. Only online applications will be accepted. For General, OBC, and EWS, the application fee is INR 100. The Application fee is removed for female and SC/ST Candidates.
Applications for UPSC IFS 2025 exam can be submitted online till 11 February, 2025, up to 6:00 PM through Civil Services (Preliminary). No other mode of application is allowed.

1. Candidates are required to apply online on the website www.upsconline.nic.in
For Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination which will act as a screening mechanism for selection of candidates for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination. Candidates who wish to apply to Civil Services Examinations also [subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions], have to apply once by appropriately indicating in the Online Application Form that they intend to appear for both the Indian Forest Service Examinations and the Civil Service Examination.
2. Applicants are advised to submit a single application only.
3. In certain unavoidable situations, if more than one application is made, the applicant must make sure that the application with higher RID (Registration ID) is complete in all respects.
Candidates already in Government Service, Government owned industrial undertakings or other similar organisations or in private employment should submit their applications direct to the Commission.
4. Candidates already in Government Service, whether in a permanent or temporary capacity or as work-charged employees other than casual or daily rated employees or those serving under the Public Enterprises are, however, required to submit an undertaking that they have informed in writing to their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for the Examination.
5. Candidates should note that in case a communication is received from their employer by the Commission withholding permission to the candidates applying for/appearing at the examination, their application will be liable to be rejected/candidature will be liable to be cancelled.
The payment can be made with cash at the appropriate, approved bank branch together with the printout of the e-challan, or it can be made via net banking, debit or credit cards.

The application process is simple, but you have to be careful to enter all the essential information accurately because once the form is filed, it cannot be modified. Before beginning to fill out the application, make sure you have the following available.

The uploaded photo must be no older than ten days from the date the UPSC IFS Application was started. The Information submitted on the application form will be utilized for the duration of the hiring process. The UPSC IFS Admission Card will include the candidate's photo, exam center preference, and other information.
Aspirants should note that there is no separate application process for IFS exam. Candidates have to register through Civil Services (Preliminary) exam.
The official IFS notification reads, ''Candidates applying for Indian Forest Service examination should note that they are required to appear in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and qualify the same for going to the second stage of Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (written and interview).''
It also reads, ''Candidates desirous of applying for Indian Forest Service examination as well as for Civil Services Examination can apply through a common online application form subject to meeting the requisite eligibility criteria by them.''

Note 1: Applicants who are submitting multiple applications should note that only the applications with higher RID (Registration ID) shall be entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one RID shall not be adjusted against any other RID.
Note 2: While filling in his/her Application Form, the candidate should carefully decide about his/her choice of the centre for the Examination. If any candidate appears at a centre other than the one indicated by the Commission in his/her Admission Certificate, the papers of such a candidate will not be evaluated and his/her candidature will be liable to cancellation.
Note 3: Candidates are not required to submit along with their applications any certificate in support of their claims regarding Age, Educational Qualifications, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes and Physically disabled etc. which will be verified at the time of the Main examination only. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination.
No request for withdrawal of candidature received from a candidate after he/she has submitted his/her application will be entertained under any circumstances.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opened the Online Detailed Application Form (DAF) for the Indian Forest Examination (IFS) (Main) Examination 2024.Candidates who have cleared the Preliminary Exam can visit the official website to complete the UPSC IFS (MAIN) DAF 2024.Candidates who are eligible can submit their DAF until 05 September, 2024.
Notice for the candidates to fill Detailed Application Form - I for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2024
The result of the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination,m 2024 held on 16.06.2024, was declared on 01.07.2024.In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all those candidates have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form - I (DAF-I) for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2024, which will made available on the website of the UPSC - upsconline.nic.in , during the period from 27.08.2024 to 05.09.2024 till 6:00 PM.
All the qualified candidates are required to fill up the DAF-I ONLINE & Submit the same ONLINE for admission to the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2024.Important instructions for filling up of the DAF - I and its submission are also available on the website.The qualified candidates for IFoS (M) Exam, 2024 have to first get themselves registered on the relevant page of the above website before filling up the ONLINE DAF - I.They are further advised to refer to the EXAMINATION NOTICE No.06/2024-IFoS dated 14.02.2024 & Rules of the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2024 published in the Gazette of India (Extraoridinary) of Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change dated 14.02.2024.
