Union Public Service Commission has released the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Application Form 2024 on 14 February, 2024 and was made available on the official website - upsconline.nic.in. Registration for UPSC IFS Opens on 14 February, 2024, and applications must be submitted by March 05, 2024 at 6:00 PM. In order to begin the UPSC IFS 2024 Application Procedure, you must first register once on the official website.
The correction window for UPSC IFS Applications will be open from 06 March, 2024 to 12 March, 2024. Candidates can make modifications to your One Time Registration, or OTR Profile. Only online applications will be accepted. For General, OBC, and EWS, the application fee is INR 100. The Application fee is removed for female and SC/ST Candidates.
Applications for UPSC IFS 2024 exam can be submitted online till 05 March, 2024, up to 6:00 PM through Civil Services (Preliminary). No other mode of application is allowed.

1. Candidates are required to apply online on the website www.upsconline.nic.in
2. Applicants are advised to submit a single application only.
3. In certain unavoidable situations, if more than one application is made, the applicant must make sure that the application with higher RID (Registration ID) is complete in all respects.
Candidates already in Government Service, Government owned industrial undertakings or other similar organisations or in private employment should submit their applications direct to the Commission.
4. Candidates already in Government Service, whether in a permanent or temporary capacity or as work-charged employees other than casual or daily rated employees or those serving under the Public Enterprises are, however, required to submit an undertaking that they have informed in writing to their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for the Examination.
5. Candidates should note that in case a communication is received from their employer by the Commission withholding permission to the candidates applying for/appearing at the examination, their application will be liable to be rejected/candidature will be liable to be cancelled.
The payment can be made with cash at the appropriate, approved bank branch together with the printout of the e-challan, or it can be made via net banking, debit or credit cards.

The uploaded photo must be no older than ten days from the date the UPSC IFS Application was started. The Information submitted on the application form will be utilized for the duration of the hiring process. The UPSC IFS Admission Card will include the candidate's photo, exam center preference, and other information.
Aspirants should note that there is no separate application process for IFS exam. Candidates have to register through Civil Services (Preliminary) exam.
The official IFS notification reads, ''Candidates applying for Indian Forest Service examination should note that they are required to appear in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and qualify the same for going to the second stage of Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (written and interview).''
It also reads, ''Candidates desirous of applying for Indian Forest Service examination as well as for Civil Services Examination can apply through a common online application form subject to meeting the requisite eligibility criteria by them.''

Note 1: Applicants who are submitting multiple applications should note that only the applications with higher RID (Registration ID) shall be entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one RID shall not be adjusted against any other RID.
Note 2: While filling in his/her Application Form, the candidate should carefully decide about his/her choice of the centre for the Examination. If any candidate appears at a centre other than the one indicated by the Commission in his/her Admission Certificate, the papers of such a candidate will not be evaluated and his/her candidature will be liable to cancellation.
Note 3: Candidates are not required to submit along with their applications any certificate in support of their claims regarding Age, Educational Qualifications, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes and Physically disabled etc. which will be verified at the time of the Main examination only. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination.
No request for withdrawal of candidature received from a candidate after he/she has submitted his/her application will be entertained under any circumstances.
