Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) PO are set to release the prelims, mains and Interview IBPS PO Exam Pattern. The official notification is given along with the IBPS PO test pattern. The preliminary test consists of three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability, in accordance with the IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2024. There are 100 total marks available for the preliminary exam. The Main exam consists of a combination of descriptive and objective questions. There are 225 total marks available for the main exam. There are 100 marks for the interview.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) PO will be conducted in online mode only. The IBPS PO Preliminary Examination has a total duration of 1 hour & 20 mins for each section. The IBPS PO Preliminary test comprises three parts. There will be one hundred multiple-choice, objective type questions on the paper. Exam questions come from three categories: English Language, Reasoing Ability and Quantitative aptitude. In the IBPS PO Preliminary exam, candidates will have 60 mins to complete the questions.
Each segment will allow candidates to attempt it in 20 minutes. IBPS conducts common written exam for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) in two phases:

A candidate has to qualify in each of the three tests by securing a minimum cut-off mark to be decided by IBPS. The adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.
Important Points Related to IBPS PO Prelims Exam
Ther IBPS PO Preliminary test is a qualifying exam.
Those who pass this paper are qualified to take the main exam.
The final merit list does not take into account the grades earned in this paper.
Candidates must receive both the sectional and overall cutoff marks in order to pass the paper.
2. IBPS Main Exam
There are both objective and descriptive types in the mains examination. The four areas of the objective test are: Data Analysis & Interpretation, General / Economy / Banking Awareness, Reasoning & Computer Aptitude & English Language.
English Language (Letter Writing and Essay) Questions are included in the descriptive part. The test lasts are three hours and thirty minutes. The Main test has a sectional time limit as well. There are 225 Total Marks available for this test.

Note:
Sometime the structure of the examination will be re-modified through IBPS official website. Other information regarding this examination will be given in an Infomation Handout, which will be made available for the candidates to download along with the admit card from the official website.
For both exams, candidates are advised to bring the following documents without fail.
If any of the document is failing to bring by the candidate will not be permitted to attend the examination.
There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each & every question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
Cut-off Score (Online Main Examination):
A candidate should have to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.
Based on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Marks obtained in the Online Main Examination will not be shared with the candidates and it is only for shortlisting for the interview and final merit listing.

3. The final merit list is determined by tallying the results of the main exam.
4. The topic of computer knowledge is not covered in its own section. It has been merged with the section on Reasoning.
Interview (Total 100 Marks):
A candidate who has been shortlisted in the Online Main Examination for CRP- PO/MT-VIII will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS.
Interviews will be conducted at select centres.
At the time of the interview, a candidate has to provide vail documents mentioned in the official notification of the IBPS.
IBPS PO Interview Pattern
After passing the main exam, candidates are interviewed for the IBPS PO Position. There are 100 total points awarded for the interview. In the interview, candidates must receive a minimum of 40% and, for SC / ST, OBC, PWBD, and 25% of the total. During the interview, a candidate's general knowledge, disposition, and intellectual capacity are evaluated. An IBPS PO Interview typically lasts between 15 & 20 Minutes. Verification of documents and backgrounds checks, however, is time-consuming.

1. The results of the main exam and the interview are used to create the final merit list.
2. 80:20 is the weighting ration assigned to the main exam and interview.
3. Following the interview phase, temporary assignments are made in accordance with the IBPS PO openings at various banks.
IBPS PO Negative Marking
The objective test has IBPS PO negative marking. To get at the rectified result, IBPS PO negative marking subtracts one-fourth, or 0.25, of the marks allocated to each incorrect answer. Unattempted questions do not result in a negative score on the IBPS PO.
IBPS PO Marking Scheme 2024
The examination authorities prescribe the IBPS PO Marking Scheme. The following is the marking scheme:
1. One mark is given to candidates for accurate responses.
2. Incorrect responses results in a 0.25 mark deduction.
3. The total number of right and wrong responses determines the final score.
IBPS PO Qualifying Marks
IBPS PO qualifying marks are released by the examination body as cut off marks. Both the total score and section-specific scores are affected by the cutoff marks. Candidates are chosen for the several selection rounds based on the IBPS PO cut-off marks, which are made public for each category.
