Every year, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination (CGGE) to shortlist the candidates for the posts such as Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist and Junior Hydrogeologists. The mentioned posts are in the Geology Survey of India under the Ministry of Mines and Central Ground Water Board under Ministry of Water Resources. 

The UPSC releases the CGGE notification in the month of October and accepts the online applications till 27th October, 2020. The Commission is also responsible for issuing Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination admit card 2021. Candidates who have registered online for the examination should download the admit card from the Commission's website. Check the important details regarding CGGE admit card.

How To Download Geo Scientist Admit Card 2021

  • Visit the official website of UPSC – www.upsc.gov.in 
  • Scroll down and click on the admit cards tab.
  • Click on ''E-Admit Cards for Various Examinations of UPSC''
  • Select the ''Combined Geo-Scientist And Geologist Examination 2021'' link
  • Enter the login details such as registration ID/roll number and date of birth.
  • Download Combined Geo-Scientist Examination admit card 2021 and take a printout of the same.

Documents Required Along With CGGE Admit Card 

Candidates need to carry the hard copy of the CGGE admit card along with a valid photo identity card issued by the Central or State government for the verification purpose. Aspirants will not be allowed to take the written examination if they fail to carry the identity card. Some of the identity cards accepted for the verification are below. 

  • Aadhaar card
  • Driving licence 
  • Passport
  • PAN card 
  • Voter ID

Discrepancy In CGGE Admit Card

In case of any discrepancy in CGGE admit card, aspirants should contact the UPSC immediately. Aspirants can use the Facilitation Counter in the Commission's Office to access the information regarding e-admit card or exam. CGGE Test Day Instructions

  • Aspirants are advised to take a printout of the CGGE admit card and carry the same to the examination centre along with a photo identity card.
  •  Candidates should report at the examination centre at least 30 minutes prior to the exam time.
  • The CGGE examination in all the subjects will be of conventional (essay) type. Hence, candidates are advised to carry the required stationary to the examination centre.
  • The duration of each paper is three hours and one cannot leave the exam hall in the middle.
  • Candidates are advised to go through the instructions meticulously printed on the CGGE admit card.
