UPSC National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I) and (II) is the Joint Service Academy of the Indian and for the candidates who wants to Join Indian Defence Forces (Army, Navy & Air Force).

The UPSC NDA & NA 2025 Syllabus is structured to evaluate candidates' knowledge and aptitude across a wide range of topics. The exam includes two components: Mathematics & General Ability Test (GAT). The Mathematics section possess problem-solving skills in topics like Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics, while the GAT tests proficiency in English & General Knowledge, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography & Current Affairs. Below are detailed breakdown:

MATHEMATICS SYLLABUS

Algebra: Complex numbers, quadratic questions, progression, logarithms.

Matrics & Determinants: Operations, types, applications.

Trigonometry: Identities, angles, height and distance problems.

Analytical Geometry: Equations of lines, circles, and conics in 2D & 3D.

Differential Calculus: Functions, Limits, Derivations, Applications.

Integral Calculus: Integration, Definite integrals, and their applications.

Differential Equations: Linear and first-order equations.

Vector Algebra: Magnitude, direction, scalar, and vector products.

Statistics & Probability: Mean, Median, mode, probability theorems, distributions.

GENERAL ABILITIY TEST (GAT) SYLLABUS

English : Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, sentence improvement.

General Knowledge :

Physics : Laws of motion, optics, electricity, magnetism, heat.

Chemistry : Periodic table, acids and bases, chemical bonding, physical chemistry.

Biology : Human anatomy, diseases, genetics, ecosystems.

History : Indian freedom struggle, world history events, cultural heritage.

Geography : Physical features, climate, vegetation, resources, environmental issues.

Current Affairs : National and International events, government policies, sports.

This syllabus demands a strong foundation in science and mathematics, proficiency in English, and awareness of current events.

The NDA Maths Syllabus evaluates a candidate's ability to answer mathematical issues using formulae, theorems, and so on. The NDA Syllabus is divided into three levels: Class 10, 11 and 12. The GAT Paper has the most weightage in the NDA Syllabus. The GTA Paper is worth 600 points in total. The Math Paper is worth 300 points. The SSB Interview is held by UPSC for applicants who meet the cut off marks in the written exam. Candidates can use the NDA Syllabus to learn about the relevant topics for the exam and arrange their studies appropriately.
