The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Indian Economic Service (IES)/ Indian Statistical Service (ISS) examination to shortlist the candidates for service. The selection of the candidates will be based on the written examination followed by an interview. Candidates who meet the eligibility conditions set by the Commission are only eligible to apply online for the UPSC. The successful applications accepted by UPSC can download the admit card from the official website. 

Aspirants should note that the Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service admit card is the most important document required to take the written test. Candidates should print the admit card and carry the same to the examination centre along with a valid photo identity proof for verification. Usually, the IES admit card will be available on the official website at least three weeks prior to the exam date. Aspirants are advised to check all the information regarding the IES/ISS admit card.

How To Download IES/ISS Admit Card 2021

  • Visit the official website of UPSC – www.upsc.gov.in 
  • Scroll down and click on the admit cards tab.
  • Click on ''E-Admit Cards for Various Examinations of UPSC''
  • Select the ''IES/ISS admit card'' link
  • Enter the login details such as registration ID/roll number and date of birth.
  • Download IES/ISS Admit Card 2021 and take a printout of the same

Documents Required Along With IES/ISS Admit Card 

In order to appear for the IES/ISS written examination, candidates need to carry the hard copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity card issued by the Central or State government for the verification purpose. Some of the identity cards accepted for the verification are below.

Error In IES/ISS Admit Card 

In case of any discrepancy in IES/ISS admit card, candidates should contact the UPSC without any delay. Aspirants can use the Facilitation Counter in the Commission's Office to access the information regarding e-admit card or exam. Exam Day Instructions 

  • Candidates should take a printout of the IES/ISS admit card and carry the same to the examination centre along with a photo identity card.
  •  Aspirants should report at the examination centre at least 30 minutes prior to the exam time. 
  • The IES/ISS is an offline exam. Hence, candidates are advised to carry the required stationary to the examination centre.
  • The duration of each paper is three hours and one cannot leave the exam hall in the middle.
  • One should know what are the things that are not allowed inside the examination hall such as electronic gadgets.
