CBSE Syllabus plays a significant role to stand out in the annual academic examination. Students who are aiming to appear for the board exams in February/March are strictly recommended to explore the CBSE curriculum 2019-20 on the official website (cbse.in). Aspirants of the national entrance exam are also advised to access the curriculum of CBSE because most of the questions were asked based on CBSE syllabus. The CBSE syllabus is prepared based on the National Curriculum Framework 2005. The curriculum focuses on providing opportunities for students to achieve excellence in learning. The CBSE syllabus contains the academic content which is required to teach the students in the school. The curriculum encompasses general objectives of learning, courses of study, subject-wise instructional objectives and content, pedagogical practices and assessment guidelines.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) aims to achieve the following objectives through its syllabus.
CBSE Class X is an integrated course. Candidates need to take only those subjects in Class 10 which they have studied in Class 9. Students can opt the subjects as per scheme studies in Class 9th. They need to continue the same subjects in CBSE Class 10th also.

The CBSE Class 12 is also an integrated course and students need to take only those subjects which are opted in Class 11.
A candidate can offer minimum 5 or more subjects in Class 11 that should be the same in Class 12 also.
