CBSE Class Bengali curriculum aims to develop an in-depth understanding of Bengali literature, language and culture. Students are exposed to basic components of language such as grammar, vocabulary, and syntax ensuring that they acquire good language skills. To ensure its learners have a full understanding of Bengali, Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading are highly focused on in this program. In order to enhance their grasp of the complexity and depth of Bengali literature, students study a variety of literary forms like drama, prose, and poetry. Also translation and comprehension exercises that help students shapen their analytical and interpretive skills form part of the very same program.
Bengali and its cultural roots represent a significant period in Indian history. The Bengali language has a long history of its own. The journey from Charyapada to the present-day Bengali language is pretty fascinating. Therefore, learning Bengali is a must for understanding Bengal's rich cultural legacy. Since the 10th century, the Bengali language has evolved, with many great poets, writers, dramatists, and linguists having made significant contributions. Instilling national and emotional integration in the brains of young children in secondary senior secondary level will be made possible in large part by this language and its study. The language curriculum should be developed in a way that encourages pupils to use their imaginations and be creative.

As per the CBSE, the students learning the Bengali language at Class 10, will be able to achieve the following objectives:
Section A: Reading Comprehension:- The Reading Comprehension Section of Bengali language comprises of 12 Marks.
Sectio B: Writing Section:- The Writing Section of Bengali language is of 10 Marks.
Section C: Grammar:- Another important part of Bengali language paper is Grammar. This section draws the attention of the enrolled candidates as it is of 18 Marks.
Section D: Literature Textbook & Supplementary Reader:- This section of Bengali language paper consists of total 40 Marks. The Literature Textbook & Supplementary Reader makes a significant part for the students.
