CBSE Class 10 Bhutia Syllabus for 2026-27

The CBSE Class Bhutia curriculum equips students with a comprehensive understanding of the Bhutia Language, Literature, and culture, thereby boosting their reading writing speaking and listening skills through the exploration of syntax, grammar, and vocabulary. Students are able to understand a variety of literary genres that include prose, poetry as well as folklore among others and in the process develop an understanding for the great depth Bhutia literature offers. The syllabus contains cultural studies units on Bhutia traditional customs, festivals, and history with exercises in analysis for enhanced understanding. Essay writing, storytelling, and dialogue presentation skills are practiced by leaners through both modern and age-old methods in order to be able to perform well in exams while at the same time associating themselves with their Bhutia tradition.

Bhutia as a language in the CBSE curriculum, forms an integral part of the students of Class 10. Bhutia is a traditional language that is spoken by the population of Sikkim, majorly. The students who opt for this North-Eastern language in their Class 10 Board, have to thoroughly go through the syllabus of Bhutia at the official website of the CBSE as well. The paper; Bhutia language is broadly divided into 2 Parts:- Part A: Objective Type Questions and Part B: Subjective Type Questions; which are further divided into Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Textbook sections. The Bhutia paper of CBSE consists of a total of 80 Marks and the remaining 20 Marks are of Internal Assessments.
