The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the 22nd Edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
The registration process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 Session has concluded. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted in an offline, Pen-and-Paper (OMR) mode across the country at various designated exam centres.
The online application portal for the CTET exam scheduled for September 2026 is no longer accepting submissions on the official Central Teacher Eligibility Test Portal. On 11th May 2026, the official website activated the CTET Apply Online 2026 link for this edition. To take the exam, candidates were required to complete the CTET 2026 application form. The final deadline for completing the online application and paying the application fee was 10th June 2026.
Registered candidates were subsequently provided an opportunity to make one-time edits to their submitted forms via the official CTET Portal Correction Tool. The CTET September 2026 application correction window was open from 15th June to 18th June 2026.
Along with the formal notification bulletin, the CTET 2026 online application form was made available on 11th May 2026.
Online Registration Period: 11th May 2026 to 10th June 2026 (up to 11:59 PM)
Application Fee Payment Window: Closed on 10th June 2026 at 11:59 PM
Mode of Exam: Offline OMR (Pen-and-Paper) format on 6th September 2026 (Sunday). (Note: If the overall volume of applicants rises significantly, additional exam sessions may expand onto 5th September 2026).
Mandatory Requirements for Candidates:
Note: If a candidate submits more than one online application, his/her candidature shall be liable to be cancelled and the candidate may also be debarred for future examinations.

How to apply online / Method of Submission of Online Application Form - CTET 2026:
Step 1: Log on to the CTET official website, i.e. www.ctet.nic.in
Step 2: Go to the link 'Apply Online for CTET December 2026' and open the same
Step 3: Fill in the Online Application Form with the details like State, Identification Type, Candidate's Name, DOB, Gender, and Security Pin. After completing & submission the application form, a registration/application gets generated and note down the registration number/application number.
Step 4: Upload the scanned images of latest photograph and signature (Size of the photo should be in b/w 10 to 100 KB in JPG/JPEG format with 3.5 cm [width] x 4.5 cm [height])
Step 5: Pay the examination fee debit/credit card and net banking.

Step 6: Print confirmation page for the record and future reference. Candidates are required to take printout of the Confirmation Page for record and keep it for their reference.
NOTE:
As per the Class X Certificate, the candidate must give his or her name, mother's name and date of birth.
Please keep in mind that no requests for specific changes will be allowed once the deadline for online correction has passed.

Candidate should enter his/her particulars, i.e. Name, Father’s Name, Mother’ Name and Date of Birth as per Class X Certificate. Please note that no request for any change in particular will be accepted under any circumstances after the specified date for online correction is over.
