What is CEED Exam?

Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay on behalf of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India to offer admission to aspirants in Master of Design (M.Des) and PhD programmes.

On the basis of a candidate’s score in CEED exam, he/she can secure admission in M.Des course at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IISc Bangalore, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur and UPES Dehradun and Ph.D programme on offer at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur.

Aspirants who have qualified GATE will also be considered for admission in M.Des programmes offered at IISc Bangalore and IIT Kanpur.

The objective of the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is to evaluate the candidate’s aptitude for design involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills.

CEED 2020:

The registration for CEED 2020 will start on October 9, 2019, and it will end on November 15, 2018. Whereas, the CEED 2020 exam will be held on January 18, 2020.

Application Fee:

For all Women Candidates: INR 1300 + GST
For SC/ST/PwD Candidates: INR 1300 + GST
For all Other Candidates: INR 2600 + GST

CEED 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

The applicants must have passed a degree/diploma/pg degree of 4 years or 3+2 years (after Higher Secondary) or appearing for the final examination by July 2020.

The applicants must have passed the GD Arts Diploma program (10+5) by July 2020. Click here to know more about the detailed scenario of CEED 2020 Eligibility Criteria.

CEED 2020 Admit Cards:

Admit Cards will be available to download from the official website from the 1st January 2020 till the exam date. A candidate has to take a printout and it is mandatory to bring the admit card to the examination centre.

The examination consists of two parts, i.e. Part A and Part B. A candidate has to attempt questions from both the parts compulsory. Part A will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and Part B from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM.

CEED 2020 Examination Cities (Tentative):

A candidate has to choose 3 cities in the order preference at the of online registration. CEED 2020 committee plans to conduct the examination in the following cities:

Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Vishakhapatnam.

Apart from above participating Institutes, CEED 2020 results will also be shared with the following Institutes, which will allow some seats in their M.Des programmes for admission through CEED 2020 for the academic year 2020-2021:

  • Lovely Professional University (LPU)
  • Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology
  • University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES)
  • Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University
  • World University of Design (WUD)
CEED Final Answer Key 2020 Released

IIT Bombay has released the CEED final answer key 2020. Candidates who have appeared for the written exam can access the final answer key of CEED 2020 on the official site. 

Aspirants should note that the CEED final answer key 2020 was released only for Part A. It has also released the CEED 2020 question papers. Both are available in pdf. 

The entrance exam was held on January 18, 2020. The CEED 2020 result will be released on March 4. The qualified candidates will be gain admission to design courses.

CEED Answer Key 2020 Released

IIT Bombay has released the provisional answer keys of CEED 2020 on its official website at ceed.iitb.ac.in. Candidates who have appeared for the written examination can check the answer keys.

The answer keys will be available until January 27, 2020. The final answer keys will be available on February 4, 2020. In case of any discrepancies in the CEED answer key 2020, candidates should contact the exam authorities without any delay.

CEED 2020 Exam Day Guidelines

IIT Bombay to conduct CEED and UCEED on January 18. The registered candidates are advised to check all the important details before appearing for the exam. 

  • Download the CEED admit card and take a printout of the same. 
  • One should reach the exam hall on the reporting time. 
  • It is advised to to check the seating arrangement. 
  • Candidates should not carry any electronic gadgets inside the exam hall. 
  • Test takers cannot leave the exam hall before completion of the exam.

The CEED exam result likely to be declared on March 4, 2020.

CEED 2020 Admit Card Released

IIT Bombay has released the admit card for the CEED 2020 examination. Candidates who registered online for the examination can visit the official website to download CEED admit card 2020. The entrance exam will be held on January 18, 2020. 

Candidates should use their login details to access the CEED admit card 2020. One should take a printout of the CEED admit card and carry the same to the examination centre. The exam will be held across 24 cities in the country. 

The CEED entrance exam is conducted for admission to B Design programme at IIT Bombay, Guwahati, Hyderabad and IITDM Jabalpur.

Last Day To Register Online For CEED 2020

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), the organising institute for CEED 2020, is all set to close the online application process today. Aspirants who could not fill the application form due to some reason can apply online until November 16 by paying the late fee of Rs 500. 

Interested candidates can fill the online application form through the official website. One should fill all the details in the CEED application form and pay the prescribed application fee. 

The CEED 2020 exam will be conducted on January 18. The admit cards will be available on the official website from January 1, 2020, onwards. The answer key will be released in February. The declaration of result is on March 4, 2020.
