Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay on behalf of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India to offer admission to aspirants in Master of Design (M.Des) and PhD programmes.
On the basis of a candidate’s score in CEED exam, he/she can secure admission in M.Des course at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IISc Bangalore, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur and UPES Dehradun and Ph.D programme on offer at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur.
Aspirants who have qualified GATE will also be considered for admission in M.Des programmes offered at IISc Bangalore and IIT Kanpur.
The objective of the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is to evaluate the candidate’s aptitude for design involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The registration for CEED 2021 will start on September 9, 2020, and it will end on October 10, 2020. Whereas, the CEED 2021 exam will be held on January 17, 2021.
For all Women Candidates: INR 1600 + GST
For SC/ST/PwD Candidates: INR 1600 + GST
For all Other Candidates: INR 3200 + GST
The normal registration fee shown above is applicable till the regular closing date of registration. A late fee of Rs. 500 is applicable to ALL candidates for regsitrations submitted after the regular closing date.

The applicants must have passed a degree/diploma/pg degree of 4 years or 3+2 years (after Higher Secondary) or appearing for the final examination by July 2021.

Admit Cards will be available to download from the official website from the 1st January 2021 till the exam date. A candidate has to take a printout and it is mandatory to bring the admit card to the examination centre.
The examination consists of two parts, i.e. Part A and Part B. A candidate has to attempt questions from both the parts compulsory. Part A will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and Part B from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM.
A candidate has to choose 3 cities in the order preference at the of online registration. CEED 2021 committee plans to conduct the examination in the following cities:
Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Vishakhapatnam.
Apart from above participating Institutes, CEED 2020 results will also be shared with the following Institutes, which will allow some seats in their M.Des programmes for admission through CEED 2021 for the academic year 2020-2021:
IIT Bombay has released the official notification brochure for UCEED and CEED 2021. Interested candidates seeking admission to design courses can access the notification on official site in online mode.
Students can fill the online applications till October 10 in online mode. The admit card will be released on January 1, 2021. The exam date for both CEED and UCEED is January 17, 2021.
The application fee was increased from Rs 2600 to Rs 3200. The exam will be held in 24 cities across the country.11 September 2020
The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2020 results declared by IIT Bombay. Candidates who have appeared for the examination can access the results on the official website uceed.iitb.ac.in.
One should enter their login credentials to check UCEED result 2020. It is advised to download to keep the hard copy of UCEED result 2020.
IIT Bombay has conducted UCEED 2020 exam on January 18. The scorecard will contain the details such as name and marks secured.13 March 2020
IIT Bombay has announced the CEED result 2020. Institute has released the result earlier which is supposed to be declared on March 4. Candidates who have appeared for the written exam can visit the official website to check their result - http://www.ceed.iitb.ac.in/2020/
Candidates should enter their login id and password to download the result. The organising institute has also announced the qualifying cutoff for CEED 2020. The CEED scorecard can be downloaded from March 4, onwards.
The Part-A qualifying marks for General candidates is 38. The marks for OBC is 34.2. It is 19 marks for both SC and ST.2 March 2020
IIT Bombay has released the CEED final answer key 2020. Candidates who have appeared for the written exam can access the final answer key of CEED 2020 on the official site.
Aspirants should note that the CEED final answer key 2020 was released only for Part A. It has also released the CEED 2020 question papers. Both are available in pdf.

The answer keys will be available until January 27, 2020. The final answer keys will be available on February 4, 2020. In case of any discrepancies in the CEED answer key 2020, candidates should contact the exam authorities without any delay.23 January 2020
