Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay on behalf of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India to offer admission to aspirants in Master of Design (M.Des) and PhD programmes.
On the basis of a candidate’s score in CEED exam, he/she can secure admission in M.Des course at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IISc Bangalore, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur and UPES Dehradun and Ph.D programme on offer at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur.
Aspirants who have qualified GATE will also be considered for admission in M.Des programmes offered at IISc Bangalore and IIT Kanpur.
The objective of the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is to evaluate the candidate’s aptitude for design involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The registration for CEED 2019 will start on October 9, 2018, and it will end on November 9, 2018. Whereas, the CEED 2018 exam will be held on January 19, 2019.

For all Other Candidates: INR 2200 + GST

The applicants must have passed a degree/diploma/pg degree of 4 years or 3+2 years (after Higher Secondary) or appearing for the final examination by July 2019.

Admit Cards will be available to download from the official website from the 1st week of January 2019 till the exam date. A candidate has to take a printout and it is mandatory to bring the admit card to the examination centre.
The examination consists of two parts, i.e. Part A and Part B. A candidate has to attempt questions from both the parts compulsory. Part A will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and Part B from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM.
A candidate has to choose 3 cities in the order preference at the of online registration. CEED 2019 committee plans to conduct the examination in the following cities:
Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Vishakhapatnam.
Apart from above participating Institutes, CEED 2019 results will also be shared with the following Institutes, which will allow some seats in their M.Des programmes for admission through CEED 2019 for the academic year 2019-2020:
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, the organising institute for Common Entrance Exam for Design 2020, has released the important dates. According to sources, the CEED 2020 will be conducted on January 18 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm.
Interested candidates can start registering online for the exam between October 9 and November 9, 2019. The online applications will be accepted with a late fee from November 10 to 16, 2019. The admit card will be available from January 1, onwards. The result will be declared on March 4, 2020.

The organising institute of CEED 2019, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, has declared the result on its official website. Candidates who have appeared for the written examination on January 19, 2019, can visit the CEED website to check their result.
According to the official sources, a total of 5,491 candidates appeared for the examination. Out of which, 1179 candidates passed with flying colours. The qualified candidates can download their score cards by logging into the candidate portal.
Divya Lohia from Delhi topped the examination with a score of 70.59. Anurag Sachan from Kanpur with a score of 64.41 achieved the second rank. Alen Antony Francis from Ernakulum occupied the third rank with a score of 63.77.
The qualified candidates can download and take a printout of the result for future reference. Candidates who qualified in the CEED are eligible for admission to M.Design courses at India's premier institutes such as IITs.5 March 2019
IIT Bombay has released the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) admit card 2019 on its official website. The CEED admit card will be available on the official website till the exam date of CEED, i.e., January 19, 2019. The registered candidates can visit the official website to download the CEED admit card.
Aspirants need to enter their registration number and password to download the CEED admit card 2019. Candidates need to take a printout of the CEED admit card and take the same to the examination centre.
After downloading the CEED admit card 2019, candidates need to check whether all the details on the admit card are correct or not. Candidates need to carry an original identity card issued by the central or state government along with the CEED admit card to the examination centre.2 January 2019
