XAT Eligibility Criteria

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2026 is a national-level entrance exam conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission into its management programs, as well as those offered by XLRI Associate Institutes and over 160 B-Schools across India.

The XAT 2026 exam is scheduled for January 4, 2026 and is conducted by XLRI on behalf of XAMI. For more than 72 years, XLRI has conducted XAT to identify the most deserving candidates for management eduction nationwide.

XAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree of at least three years duration in any discipline from a recognized or deemed university.

Final-year students of undergraduate programs are also eligible to apply, provided they submit their degree certificate and mark sheet by the end of the admission process.

Final-year candidates must mention the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in previous years of their degree while filling out the application.

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit to apply for XAT 2026. Candidates of any age can appear for the exam.

Eligibility for NRI and Foreign Candidates

Domestic Candidates seeking MBA / PGDM Admissions through XAT 2026 must appear for the XAT exam.

NRI and Foreign candidates, however, can apply using a valid GMAT Score, instead of appearing for the XAT.
