The National Institute of Design (NID) is a national-level entrance exam that the National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct for the admission for various design courses for the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The National Institute of Design (NID) will release the admit card for B.Des and M.Des Preliminary examination 24 December, 2024 at the official website. Candidates who are going to appear for NID Exam 2025-26 can download their NID DAT 2025 Prelims admit card on the official website - admissions.nid.edu, once it is released.

The National Institute of Design (NID) issued the NID DAT admit card 2025 on 24 December, 2024. To obtain the NID 2024 admit card, registered candidates must go to admissions.nid.edu. This page has also been updated with a link to the NID DAT 2025 admit card. To get NID DAT admit card 2025 login, candidates must provide their email address and date of birth. It should be noted that the NID DAT admit card 2025 is a required documents for taking the NID Entrance exam. Admissions.nid.edu is the official website for downloading DAT admit card 2025 from NID.

The NID admit card download 2025 for the Mains B.Des examination will begin on 14 April, 2025 at 4:00 PM, while the DAT admit card 2025 for the NID Mains M.Des exam will be hosted on the official website on 26 April to 04 May, 2025. By providing their email ID and date of birth, registered applicants will be able to download the admit card for the NID entrance test for the B.Des and M.Des. To obtain the hall ticket, candidates must utilise the NID DAT admit card 2025 login. According the NID 2025 test schedule, the Design Aptitude Test B.Des Prelims will be held on 05 January, 2025, while the DAT Mains will be held on 26 April to 04 May, 2025.

NID DAT 2025 Entrance exam will be conducted in two parts - DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. Both parts are mandatory.

Candidates who have successfully submitted their application and did not receive the admit card are advised to contact the NID Admission cell immediately. No candidate will be allowed to appear for NID DAT Prelims or Mains exam if they do not carry a valid NID hall ticket on the day of the examination.

How to Download the NID DAT Admit Card 2025?

Candidates may only obtain their NID DAT 2025 Admit card online. There will be no softcopy/hardcopy NID Admission Card 2025 Provided to candidates via email / post. Candidates must bring the NID DAT 2025 Hall ticket, as well as a valid identity card, to the test centres. To obtain the NID Admit Card 2025, Candidates must first complete the following steps:

Step 1: Visit admissions.nid.edu, the official website.

Step 2: Go to home page and select the "NID Admit Card" Button.

Step 3: In the login window, enter your registered email address and date of birth.

Step 4: Press the "Submit" button

Step 5: After agreeing to the rules given on the site, aspirants will be able to download the admission card. They should carefully read them and check the box to indicate their agreement.

Step 6: Select "Proceed to download admit card" from the drop-down menu.

Step 7: The NID DAT 2025 admission card will appear on the screen.

Step 8: Download the NID DAT 2025 admit card and print it on an A4 Sheet of Paper.

NID DAT 2025 Mains Admit Card:

The National Institute of Design (NID) will issue the NID Design Admission Test (NID DAT) Admit Card for the Mains. NID DAT is a national-level exam for candidates seeking admission to Undergraduate and Post-Graduate Design Courses in India.

The NID DAT Mains will take place from 26 April to 04 May, 2025

The names of the candidates, the date, time, and instructions are all listed on the NID DAT admit card. In most cases, the NID Mains test is given offline. The institute will administer the DAT mains exam for MDes candidates this year using a hybrid structure. The studio exam and the interview-based DAT Mains are prerequisites for students who applied for MDes.

NID Admit Card 2025 Dates 

NOTE:

Admit Cards will be available to download on the NID website as per the above schedule. All the candidates have to download and print their own Admit Cards.

Reporting time will be mentioned in the DAT Prelims Admit Card. The exact dates of DAT (Mains) will be as mentioned in the Admit Card.

Important Instructions :-

1. It is mandatory for the candidates to appear for the Online Interviews and the Studio Test (both) in order to qualify for the final stage for admissions.

2. Rescheduling of Studio Test will not be entertained.

3. Admit Cards will be issued for the Online Interviews and the Studio Tests separately.

4. Admit Cards for the Studio Tests will not be generated for those candidates who fail to appear / remain absent for the Online Interview.

5. It is the sole responsibility of the candidates to download and print the Admit Card for the Studio Test. The candidates are also resquired to bring the hard copy of the Admit card along with the photo id proofs, as mentioned in the Admit Card for the Studio Test.

6. Only for the candidates will be allowed entry into the examination centre. Parents/friends/relatives shall not be allowed to enter the examination centre.

7. Appearing for DAT Mains or being shortlised for the further stage of admissions process does NOT, guarantee automatic entitlement to admissions.

NID DAT 2025 Exam Day : Document Checklist

On the day of the design entrance exam, candidates must bring their NID Admit card and a valid picture ID Card to the test location that has been assigned to them.

On the day of the NID DAT 2025 Exam, Candidates may bring any of the following photo ID Cards with them:

What To Carry Along With NID Admit Card  

Aspirants have to carry the NID admit card to the examination hall along with a valid photo ID card and photocopy of the same. The accepted photo identity proofs are Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, etc. Candidates should also carry two passport size photographs if the photograph is not clear on the NID admit card.

Question: Where can I download NID DAT admit card?

Answer: The admit card will be available only on the official website of NID. Candidates need to visit the NID website to download the admit card for preliminary and main examination. 

Question: Will the NID admit card be sent through the post? 

Answer: No, the organising body will not send the NID DAT admit card to candidates through post or courier. One has to download the NID DAT admit card from the official website.  

Question: Do I need to save the NID DAT admit card? 

Answer: The admit card is the most important document required until the final selection process. Hence, candidates are advised to save the NID admit card for future reference.

Answer: After the registration, the respective authority will send the login credentials along with the password to the mail.
