CUET UG 2025 - Aspirants need to satisfy all the eligibility conditions set by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to apply for Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNU CUET (UG) 2024.
The eligibility criteria will depend upon the course or programme a candidate to choose. We have listed the JNUET eligibility criteria for the most popular courses.
For appearing in the CUET (UG) - 2025, There is no age limit for the candidates. The Candidates who have passed the class 12 / equivalent examination or are appearing in 2025 in CUET (UG) - 2025 Examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (If any) of the University / Institution / Organization in which they are desirous of taking admission.
1. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central / State Board, Such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi; etc.
2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by the recognized Board / University.
3. Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
4. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
5. Any Public School / Board / University Examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
6. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
7. A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of technical education of at least 3 years duration.
8. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
9. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate office, Geneva.
10. Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.
11. In case the Class 12 Examination is not a Public Examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.
Candidates should obtain the minimum age of 17 years for B.A. (Hons.) programme as on 1 October 2025. There is no age bar for any other programme.
Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination
For the year of appearance in the Class 12 / equivalent examination, relevant conditions of Universities / Institutions (as applicable) will be applied. The candidate must ensure his eligibility from the website of respective Universities / Institutions.
Candidates should qualify in their 10+2 examination with a minimum of 45% marks. Candidates who are appearing for their 10+2 examination can also apply.
Candidates should qualify in their 1st year of bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 45% marks.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in any stream with at least 50% marks under the 10+2+3 education pattern.
Aspirants should have a bachelor’s degree (BCA/ B.Tech) with Mathematics at graduation level with a minimum of 55% marks.
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in physical, biological or agricultural sciences with a minimum of 55% marks.
Candidates should have a master’s degree in the related subject with a minimum of 50% marks.
NOTE :
For admission in Universities through CUET (UG) - 2025, the existing policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualifications, subject combinations, preferences, etc. of the respective University / Institution / Organization shall be applicable

Mere appearance in the Entrance Test does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission for the Programme unless / she fulfills the Programme-wise eligibility conditions of the University they are applying to.
