How to Apply For UGC NET

The National Testing Gency (NTA) officially released the UGC NET June 2025 Notification on 16 April, 2025, along with the activation of the application form.

Candidates who eligible and interested can submit their applications form online from 16 April to 07 May, 2025 upto 11:59 PM by visiting the official website - ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The UGC-NET June Cycle 2025 examination is scheduled to be held between 21 to 30 June, 2025.

The UGC-NET June 2025 Registration Process is available exclusively through online mode. No offline or printed application forms will be accepted by the NTA. It is required of candidates to complete the online application process for the UGC NET 2025 exam in order to be eligible for an "award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor for the June 2025 Cycle. It is recommended that candidates review the UGC NET eligibility requirements 2025 prior to taking the UGC NET exam.

UGC NET Application Form 2025 Details

Candidates can apply for the UGC NET June Cycle via the official website. The application fee varies by category:

To qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or Assistant Professor Posts, candidates must successfully complete the online application process. Before applying, it is highly recommended that aspirants carefully review the UGC NET eligiblity criteria to ensure they meet all the requirements.

The NTA has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC-NET, which is test to determine the eligibility of Indian Nationals for (i) "award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor', (ii) 'appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D." and (iii) 'admissions to Ph.D only' in Indian Universities and Colleges.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC-NET June 2025 for "Award of Junior Research Fellowship" and appointment as "Assistant Professor" in 85 Subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode, as per Schedule given in table below:

 The application process contains 3 parts to complete the UGC NET June, 2025 Application Form.

They are as follows:

  • Part I: Registration Page (contains Candidate's Name, DOB, Mobile No, and Email Id)
  • Part II: Fill in the Application Form (contains Category Selection, Exam Cities, NET Subject, Subject of PG Level)
  • Part III: Uploading of Scanned Image and Candidate's Signature

NOTE :

Before submitting the Online Application Form, a candidate shall satisfy their eligibility to appear in this test and candidates have to select any four cities of their choice.

Please check your photograph & signature before submisison of the Application Form. In the case the photograph or signature is blurred or not visible to identify the identify of the candidate then, the application will be rejected and no option for correction or revision will be permitted. Once the Online Application Form submitted successfully cannot be withdrawn.

The candidate have to pay the examination fee. The fee can be submitted only online through Net banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI or Paytm Services. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Candidates can apply for UGC - NET June through the "Online" Mode only on the website - https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The Application Form in any other mode will not accepted.

2. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Candidates will not be allowed to fill more than one Application Form. Strict action will be taken, even at a later stage, against such candidates who have filled more than one Application Form.

3. Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the Infomation Bulletin available on the NTA Website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.

4. Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents / Guardians only as all information / Communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail addres or SMS on the registered Mobile Number Only.

5.
