What is XAT Exam?

XAT - The Xavier Aptitude Test is a national level aptitude test conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur. The scores of the XAT will be used for admissions by XLRI Jamshedpur and other Xavier Associate Management Institutes and over 160 B-schools across the country.

XAT 2023 will be conducted on Sunday, 08 January, 2023. The XAT is a national level test conducted by the XLRI to select the most appropriate candidates for management education from all over the country.

XLRI conducts XAT on behalf of XAMI. For more than 72 years XLRI is conducting XAT at all the India level to select the most appropriate students for management education.  The XAT score is being used by more than 160 Institutes for the admission.There are several other institutes which consider XAT scores for their selection procedure.

There are 150+ management institutes which use XAT scores for their admission process. The XAT is a three-hour long exam and it is the preliminary step towards applying to XLRI and XAT Associate Institutes. Applicants applying to XAT Associate Institutes, besides XLRI have to apply separately according to their choice.

It is a computer-based test and the questions are based on Verbal and Logical Ability (VA & LR), Decision Making (DM), Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (QA & DI), and General Knowledge (GK). The biggest change for this year is there will be no Essay Writing section for XAT 2023.

XAT 2023 Application Date:

XAT 2023 - The application forms for XAT 2023 are available on the official website from 10 August, 2022 to 30 November, 2022.

XAT 2023 - Application Fee:

XAT 2022 Registration Fee (without late fee) - Rs. 2000/-

Candidates interested in XLRI programmes need to pay an additional fee of Rs. 200/- each.

Indian Candidates can apply through GMAT/GRE for PGDM (GM) whereas an NRI/Foreign national can apply through GMAT for all the programmes. Kindly note GRE Scores are only valid for PGDM (GM).

Fee for Indian Candidates applying for PGDM (GM) through GMAT/GRE - Rs. 2500/-

Fee for NRI / Foreign Candidates applying for one or more programmes through GMAT Rs. 500/- each.

  • Register for XAT 2023 at http://www.xatonline.in and make XAT payment
  • Candidates interested in applying to XLRI and other XAT Associate Institutes may obtain details from the respective institute's website. Check their registration/application procedure
  • Candidates may please note that XLRI does not ascertain the quality of the degree or programmes offered by XAT Associate Institutes.
  • Each institute independently decides the weightage be given for each of the test components on the basis of its needs. XLRI does not play any role in the selection of the candidates in these institutes

XAT 2023 Exam Analysis

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) exam analysis is the most important thing candidates should consider while preparing for this computer-based examination. The exam analysis will provide the key details such as weightage of the sections and important topics that should be covered first. The organisers of XAT eliminated the essay-writing section from this year. 

The XAT 2023 exam is tough compared to previous years. The verbal and logical ability sections consist of 26 questions. The decision-making and quantitative ability & data interpretation sections consist of 21 and 27 questions, respectively. To check the detailed XAT 2021 exam analysis, click here

XAT 2023 : Registration Starts from 10 August, 2022.

XLRI - Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur will be opening the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) Exam 2023 registration on 10 August, 2022.

Candidates who are eligible can apply for XAT MBA Entrance Test on the official website of XAT - xatonline.in. The XAT 2023 Exam will be held on 08 January, 2022 (Sunday) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) Mode.

XAT Result 2021 Released

XLRI has released the results for Xaviers Aptitude Test (XAT) 2021. Candidates who have appeared for the written exam can check their XAT results 2021 on its official website at xlri.ac.in.

XAT Result 2021 Score Card 

Aspirants should enter their login credentials such as registration number and date of broth to download XAT score card 2021. Earlier, it has also released the XAT final answer key on January 8 in the form of PDF.

XAT 2021 Answer Key Released

The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) has released XAT answer key 2021. Candidates who have appeared for the written exam can access the XAT 2021 answer key with their login credentials from the official site.

It has also released the response sheet for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) exam 2021 for MBA candidates. Institute will release XAT final answer key 2021 after considering the objections received from aspirants.

XAT 2021 Response Sheet Released

Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur has released the Xaviers Aptitude Test XAT 2021 response sheet. Candidates can access the XAT 2021 response sheet at the official website xatonline.in.

XLRI will also release the XAT 2021 answer key on the official website. This will held candidates calculate their probable scores and chances of securing an admission at XLRI.

XAT 2021 Admit Card Released

The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) has released XAT 2021 admit cards. Candidates who have registered for the exam can download XAT 2021 admit card on the official website - xatonline.in.

XAT 2021 will be held online on January 3. The XAT 2021 admit card will contain the details such as XAT application numbers, XAT 2021 roll numbers and the exam centres.

Xavier Aptitude Test 2021 (XAT 2021) is a national level entrance exam conducted for admissions to postgraduate (PG) management programmes at XLRI.
