What is XAT Exam?

XAT - The Xavier Aptitude Test is a national level aptitude test conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur. The scores of the XAT will be used for admissions by XLRI Jamshedpur and other Xavier Associate Management Institutes and over 150+ B-schools across the country.

XAT 2020 exam is conducted on 5th January 2020. The XAT is a national level test conducted by the XLRI to select the most appropriate candidates for management education from all over the country.

The institute has expertise in setting up the exam and then selecting the best candidates for management studies. There are several other institutes which consider XAT scores for their selection procedure.

There are 150+ management institutes which use XAT scores for their admission process. The XAT is a three-hour long exam and it is the preliminary step towards applying to XLRI and XAT Associate Institutes. Applicants applying to XAT Associate Institutes, besides XLRI have to apply separately according to their choice.

It is a computer-based test and the questions are based on Verbal and Logical Ability (VA & LR), Decision Making (DM), Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (QA & DI), and General Knowledge (GK). The biggest change for this year is there will be no Essay Writing section for XAT 2020.

XAT 2020 Registration Fee (without late fee) - Rs. 1700/-

Candidates interested in XLRI programmes need to pay an additional fee of Rs. 300/- each.

XAT 2020 Registration Fee (with late fee) - Rs. 2000/-

Candidates interested in XLRI programmes need to pay an additional fee of Rs. 500/- each.

  • Candidates interested in applying to XLRI and other XAT Associate Institutes may obtain details from the respective institute's website. Check their registration/application procedure
  • Candidates may please note that XLRI does not ascertain the quality of the degree or programmes offered by XAT Associate Institutes.
  • Each institute independently decides the weightage be given for each of the test components on the basis of its needs. XLRI does not play any role in the selection of the candidates in these institutes

XAT Exam Analysis 2020

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) exam analysis is the most important thing candidates should consider while preparing for this computer-based examination. The exam analysis will provide the key details such as weightage of the sections and important topics that should be covered first. The organisers of XAT eliminated the essay-writing section from this year. 

The XAT 2020 exam is tough compared to previous years. The verbal and logical ability sections consist of 26 questions. The decision-making and quantitative ability & data interpretation sections consist of 21 and 27 questions, respectively. To check the detailed XAT 2020 exam analysis, click here

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) Registration To Close On November 30

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) registration window for admission to management programmes in XLRI and XAT associated institutes will be closing on November 30. Interested candidates who satisfy the eligibility conditions can visit the official website to apply online. 

Candidates with a bachelors degree in any discipline or completing their final examination by June 10, 2020, are only eligible to apply for XAT. The total number of XAT examination centres are also increased to 72. 

XAT is an online test conducted on January 5, 2020. The admit cards will be released at least two weeks before the exam date.

XAT 2020 Registration Started

Xavier School of Management has activated registration window for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2020. The exam authority will conduct the entrance exam in computer-based on January 5 (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM). Interested candidates can visit the official website to apply XAT 2020 online. 

Candidates should note that there is no change in the registration fee. The registration fee without late fee is Rs 1700. A total of 30 new cities have been added. One should also note that XLRI reserves the right to change or cancel any test city/centre. Apart from XLRI institutes, over 150 B-schools and other institutes accept XAT score. 

The admit card for XAT 2020 will be available on the official website from the third week of December onwards. The XAT 2020 result will be declared during the last week of January.

XAT Admit Card 2019 Released On The Official Website

XLRI Jamshedpur has released the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) admit card 2019. This national level entrance examination is conducted for admission to management programs at XLRI and participating organisations. Candidates, who have registered for the XAT, can visit the official website to download their XAT admit cards. 

Candidates need to submit their registration ID and password to download their XAT admit card 2019. XAT will be conducted in a single session on January 6, 2019, between 10 am and 1 pm. Candidates need to carry XAT admit card along with an original ID issued by the state/central government.

What Are The Major Changes In XAT 2019 Exam

XLRI Jamshedpur is all set to conduct the Xavier Aptitude Test on January 6, 2019. The XAT admit card will be released on the official website on December 20, 2018. The registered candidates are advised to visit the official website to downland the XAT admit card 2019. 

There are many changes in XAT 2019 and the major one is the exam pattern. In XAT 2019, candidates will not find any essay writing test. There will be an online exam that consists of four sections, namely, verbal and logical ability, decision making, quantitative ability & data interpretation and general knowledge. The organising body has also decided to remove one national and two international test centres for XAT 2019. The duration of the exam is also decreased by 30 minutes. Currently, the total duration for the XAT 2019 exam is 3 hours.

XAT is one amongst the leading national-level entrance exams conducted for an admission to management courses. The XAT score is being used by more than 150 institutes for the admission. The XAT 2019 exam will be conducted across the country in more than 35 cities.
