What is MAT Exam?

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a National Entrance Test, conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA), for admissions to MBA and equivalent programmes since 1988. From 2003 onwards Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved  MAT as a national level test.

MAT is an objective test, designed to measure the candidate's general aptitudes in language comprehension, mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, intelligence and critical reasoning, Indian and global environment.

B-School, national and international management colleges can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the scorecards issued to the candidates. MAT will continue to be your passport to over 600+ B-Schools across India.

Center for Management Services (CMS) is the specialised division of AIMA undertaking testing and other management services. Since 1988, these testing services have been in operation under the trademark All India Management Aptitude Testing Services (AIMATS).

AIMATS has the unique distinction of being the first to be awarded ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certification for the range of services under its scope.

AICTE in its mission to reduce the burden of students in attending to multiple examinations has launched the national level entrance exams for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programs approved by AICTE.

MAT is usually conducted four times in a year. The exams will be generally scheduled in the month of February, May, September, and December. MAT is conducted in all major cities across the country and sometimes also in leading cities abroad.   

MAT May 2020

The MAT May 2020 registration will be started from April, 2020. The exam is going to be held for PBT on May 16, 2020, and for CBT on May 03, 2020.

MAT Application Fee

For Pen-Based Test or Computer Based Test - INR 1650/-
Both the Paper-Based Test and Computer Based Test - INR 2750/- (For 2 MAT Tests in same month)

MAT Exam Pattern

The test is a 2 hours 30 minutes Computer-Based and Paper-Based Test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate's ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.

MAT May 2020 New Exam Dates Announced

AIMA has postponed the MAT May 2020 exam. It has also released the new exam dates for both CBT and PBT. Candidates who have registered for the exam can visit the official website to check the revised dates. The organisers have postponed the exams due to Coronavirus pandemic.

The MAT 2020 (PBT) exam will be held on June 14, 2020. The CBT exam will be conducted on June 21, 2020. The admit cards for the exam will be available on June 9 and 17, 2020. However, candidates can register for PBT until June 7 and CBT until June 15, 2020.

MAT is an entrance exam conducted four times in a year for admission to over 600 management colleges based on the MAT score.

MAT (May) 2020 Registration Begins

The application form of MAT (May) 2020 session started by All India Management Association (AIMA) on March 6. Interested candidates who satisfy the eligibility conditions set by AIMA can visit the official website to apply. The entrance test will be conducted in both paper-based and computer-based mode. 

The organising body will conduct MAT 2020 paper-based mode on May 16 and computer-based mode on May 3. Candidates can fill the application form until May 10 for computer-based and April 26 for paper-based mode. The admit cards for the exam will be available at least 10 days before the exam date. MAT is conducted four-time every year for admission to management programmes.

MAT February 2020 Result Declared

AIMA has released the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) February 2020 result. Candidates who have appeared for the written exam can visit the official website to check their result. 

Candidates have to use their roll number and registration number to check the MAT result February 2020. It is advised to download the MAT result 2020 and take a printout of the same for future reference.

AIMA MAT 2020 Admit Card For PBT Released

The All India Management Association (AIMA) has released the MAT admit card 2020 on February 11, 2020. The admit card was released for PBT exam. Candidates who have registered for the PBT written test can access their admit card on the official site. 

Aspirants should use their login details such as registration number and date of birth to download the MAT admit card 2020.

The MAT PBT 2020 will be held on February 16 across the country at various centres. Test takers should report at least 90 minutes before the exam time. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
