The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a National Entrance Test, conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA), for admissions to MBA and equivalent programmes since 1988. From 2003 onwards Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test.
MAT is an objective test, designed to measure the candidate's general aptitudes in language comprehension, mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, intelligence and critical reasoning, Indian and global environment.

Center for Management Services (CMS) is the specialised division of AIMA undertaking testing and other management services. Since 1988, these testing services have been in operation under the trademark All India Management Aptitude Testing Services (AIMATS).
AIMATS has the unique distinction of being the first to be awarded ISO 9001:2008 Certification for the range of services under its scope.
AICTE in its mission to reduce the burden of students in attending to multiple examinations has launched the national level entrance exams for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programs approved by AICTE.
MAT is usually conducted four times in a year. The exams will be generally scheduled in the month of February, May, September, and December. MAT is conducted in all major cities across the country and sometimes also in leading cities abroad.
The MAT February 2019 registration has already started from December 16, 2018, for both type of exams and it will end on February 8, 2019, for Paper-Based Test (PBT) and for Computer-Based Test on February 12, 2019. The exam is going to be held for PBT on February 17, 2019, and for CBT on February 23, 2019.

The test is a 2 hours 30 minutes Computer-Based and Paper-Based Test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate's ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.

AIMA has announced the MAT December 2018 results on the official website. Candidates can check their result along with sectional and overall scores by downloading the MAT 2018 result from the MAT website. Candidates have to note that no separate MAT scorecard would be issued through email or post.
The test takers need to enter their registration number and roll number to download their MAT December 2018 result. The MAT December 2018 examination was conducted on December 9 and 15 in the offline and online modes, respectively. However, the results will be available in online mode only.
AIMA has started accepting the online applications for the MAT February 2019 session. The last date to register for February 2019 session is on or before February 8, 2019, for Paper Based Test (PBT). However, it is February 12, 2019, for the Computer Based Test (CBT).26 December 2018

Candidates should have a scanned copy of their photograph and signature in JPG or JPEG format. Candidates have to note that entries in the registration form shall be required to be filled only in English. The application fee is INR 1550 for CBT or PBT. The last date to register online for both the paper-based test (PBT) and computer-based test (CBT) for the MAT 2018 exam has been extended. The last date to apply for PBT is today, i.e., December 4 and CBT is December 10, 2018.
The admit cards for the MAT paper-based test were released on December 1, 2018. The MAT admit cards for CBT will be released on December 11, 2018. However, the examinations for PBT and CBT will be conducted on December 9 and December 15, 2018, respectively.
In order to download the MAT admit card, candidates have to visit the official website of the MAT. The MAT admit cards contain the candidate name, form number, roll number, test date, test time, test type and test venue address.
