The application process is the most important phase in the academic entrance examinations because a single mistake will cost more. Here is the step-by-step guide for the candidates who would want to apply for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) MBBS exam.
AIIMS has introduced the PAAR facility (Prospective Applicant Advanced Registration) for filling up the application forms for MBBS entrance examination from 2022 onwards. With the PAAR facility, the application process for the AIIMS MBBS application form will be divided into two steps, namely, Basic Registration and Final Registration.
The Basic Registration includes the filling up of the basic details and uploading images almost six months in advance, which provide adequate time to correct errors and deficiencies. The candidates will be informed whether their registration is accepted, and their details will be stored with a unique identification number. Thus, candidates will not be subjected to the pressures of last-minute rush and the fear of rejection of applications without any time left to make amends. However, Basic Registration does not require any fee payment.
Candidates who have successfully completed the Basic Registration and accepted can now decide whether to appear for the examination of this year or subsequently. If a candidate does not wish to appear for this year, there is no need to fill the Final Registration. However, the details entered in the Basic Registration will be stored and will be valid for the subsequent years.
In the Final Registration, candidates have to fill the remaining details such as qualification details, choose the available city for examination and make the necessary payments. One who has completed all the fields are only eligible to be issued admit cards for that examination subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria.
A candidate who aims to appear for the examination in the rolling year can proceed to the Final Registration. Aspirants have to make a note that the rejected Basic Registration applicants are not eligible to proceed for Final Registration. On the whole, the Basic Registration is enduring and the Final Registration is examination-year specific.
