AIIMS NORCET 8 Eligibility Criteria 2025

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is yet to release the notification for Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET 8) 2025 in the month of March, 2025.

The AIIMS NORCET 8 2025 Online application process has started from 24 February, 2025 to 17 March, 2025 till 5:00 PM. Candidates who are interested in AIIMS NORCET exam have to go through the eligibility criteria before applying. The AIIMS NORCET 8 exam will be conducted in two stages - Preliminary & Mains. Preliminary exam (Stage I) will be conducted on 12 April, 2025 and Mains (Stage 2) will be held on 02 May, 2025 in CBT Mode.

Candidates must have either of the two educational qualifications - B.Sc. Nursing (4 Years) from a recognized university or a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized Institute. The age of the candidate must be between 18 & 30 years and he / she must be a citizen of India.

  • Candidate has to be an Indian National.
  • A recognized board or university must have awarded the B.Sc. Nursing Degree. Additionally, the applicant must be registered with both the Indian Nursing Council & the State Nursing Council.
  • For B.Sc. / Post Basic Nursing Courses: Must have finished Courses from an accredited Institution or college that have been approved by the State Nursing Council and the Indian Nursing Council.
  • For Courses in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM): One must be registered with the Indian Nursing Council and the State Nursing Council and must have completed courses from an accredited university.

Subjects required in Class 12

Candidates for the Bachelor of Optometry, B.Sc. Medical Technology in Radiotherapy, or B.Sc. (Hons) Medical Technology in Radiography programs must have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology / Mathematics. Biology is required for all the other courses.

Class 12 Grades.

  • 50% for Candidates in the General / OBC / EWS Categories
  • 45% for Candidates in the SC / ST Category.

Age Limit : The candidate must be 17 Years as of 31 December, 2024 to be eligible for the Examination.

Educational Qualification: B.Sc Nursing Candidates applying for B.Sc. Programs must have passed 10+2 intermediate or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as mandatory subjects from any recognized board.

Sex : Only Female candidates can apply for B.Sc. Nursing Program at AIIMS Nursing.

Marks: Candidates must have scored at least 55% Marks in the qualified examination to be eligible and 50% Marks for the candidates beloning to the reserve category.

Candidates who are appearing for the annual academic examination in 2025 can also apply for the AIIMS Nursing 2025 Application Form.

Educational Qualification : B.Sc. (Post-Basic Nursing) Applying candidates for B.Sc. Post Basics Nursing must have qualified 10+2 level examination from any recognized board.

Sex : Both Female & Male eligible candidates can apply for B.Sc. Post Basic Nursing.

Diploma Holders : Candidates with diploma certificates holders in General Nursing & Midwifery can apply for Post Basics Nursing.

Registered: Candidates must be registered as Nurses, RN and RMs with the State Nursing Council to be eligible for B.Sc. Post Basic Nursing.

REMARKS

The required two years of experience as in above is as an essential criterion and to be valid, the experience shall must be acquired after obtaining Essential Qualification, I.e. after completing residency period of the course, declaration of result & registration with State / Indian Nursing Council.
