National Testing Agency (NTA) has been granted the authority to conduct the University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET). UGC NET, which is conducted twice a year, is held to select the candidates for the Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) posts in Indian universities and colleges. Qualifying in the JRF will make candidates pursue research in their respective postgraduate subject.

The UGC NET will be conducted in 84 subjects across 91 selected cities in the country. It's high time for the aspirants to recall all the preparation tips and strategies. Here are the six last-minute preparation tips to crack the UGC NET.

1. Revise Your Notes

The most important task to perform specifically during the last days of the preparation is revising the prepared notes. Be it for paper I or II, aspirants should revise all the important topics they have highlighted in the self-prepared notes. Devote a day for revising only the prepared notes because it consists all the important information of topics in simple language.

2. Never Take Paper I Lightly

The UGC NET paper I requires a constructive approach though the paper is not based on subjects. According to the official notification, the candidates will be tested on their teaching/research aptitude. They are also tested on the reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness.

It is not advised to take the paper I lightly as it carries 100 marks. During the last days, focus on the comprehension and general awareness to score well.

3. Keep Your Options Open For Paper II

Paper II will be based on subjects and this will decide the fate of the aspirants. Though the organising body has published the detailed syllabus for every subject, a candidate has to cross the syllabus barrier to score well. Always look at the probabilities about the expected questions.
