Candidates who are aiming to appear for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) examination have to meet all the eligibility requirements set by the Council of Architecture (COA). The organising body has made some key changes in the eligibility criteria. The NATA qualifying requirements for 2024 include age, educational background, the total number of NATA tries, and other pertinent information. Candidates may complete the NATA Application Form 2025 if they satisfy the minimal eligibility requirements.
Candidates who have completed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as subject of study can appear for NATA 2025. Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subject to study or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics in the current year may also provisionally appear for NATA 2025.
Candidates may note that NATA 2025 is the qualifier for admission to B.Arch. Program offered by Universities / Institutions in the country, subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Council. The eligibility criteria are outlined in Clause 5.2 of this brochure.
Qualifying in NATA 2025 Does Not Constitute A Right / Guarantee in Favour of the candidate for admission to any Architecture course unless the candidate has fulfilled all the prescribed requirements as specified by respective competent authorities in compliance with the eligibility criteria laid down by the council.
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is qualifying examination for admission to the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) Program in India. To be eligible for NATA 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:
For Appearing in NATA 2025:
Candidates who have passed or appearing in the 10+1 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) Subjects.
Candidates who have passed or appearing in the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) Subjects.
Candidates who have passed or appearing in the 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Technical Vocational subjects, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies. They must have secured at least 45% marks in aggregate.
Alternatively, candidates who have passed the 10+3 Diploma examination with Mathematics as a compulsor subject, securing at least 45% marks in aggregate, are also eligible.
There is no specific age limit prescribed for appearing in NATA 2025. However, candidates must comply with any age constraints specified by the respective counseling or admission authorities.
It is important for applicants to understand that meeting the requierments for the NATA 2025 exam does not ensure admission to any architecture program, even if the applicant satisfies all eligibility requirements set forth by the relevant authorities. Candidates for admission to the architecture program in 2025 must fulfill the following requirements.
Applicants must have earned a 10+3 diploma with mathematics as a required as a required subject or have completed PCM courses in Class 12.
Applicants may be admitted to the following state-level B.Arch courses if they pass the entrance exam. Students must be aware, nonetheless, that in order to be eligible for NATA 2025, they must fulfill the requirements set forth by the relevant authorities.

The Council of Architecture, with the approval of the Central Government, has prescribed the eligibility for admission to 1st Year to 5-year B.Arch. Degree Course as prescribed under Regulation 4(1) of the Council of Architecture (CoA) (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations 2020, which is stated as under:
No candidate shall be admitted to Architecture Course unless she / has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies with at least 45% marks in aggregate or passed 10+3 Diploma examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with atleast 45% marks in aggregate.
Reservation as well as relaxation in qualifying marks for the reserved category (such as SC, ST, OBC-NCL & PwD) for the purpose of admission of a prerogative of the Admission / Counselling Authority and does not fall under the purview of the examination.
