How to Apply For CLAT

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India law entrance examination conducted by 24 National Law Schools / Universities for admissions to their undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes (LL.

B and LL.M).

CLAT Application Form 2025: On July 15, 2024, the registration window for CLAT 2025 opened. On July 07, 2024, the Consortium published the CLAT Notification for the year 2025. The CLAT 2025 advertisement covered every crucial detail regarding the CLAT Examination. Consortiumofnlus.ac.in is the offical website to complete the CLAT 2025 application. On or before 15 october, 2024, candidates wishing to enroll in undergraduate and graduate programs offered by National Law Universities (NLUs) may submit their CLAT Applications. The only applications who will receive admit cards to the CLAT exam in 2025 are those who complete the application and pay the required amount.

For general category candidates, the CLAT Registration fee for 2025 is INR 3,500; for candidates from SC and ST Categories, it is INR 3,000. In addition to the application cost, students must pay of INR 500 if they wish to obtain official CLAT previous year papers. But candidates can also obtain all of the past years' CLAT sample papers for free right here. The exam date for CLAT 2025 is December 01, 2024. CLAT 2025 Online Application form Procedure:

• Candidates have to apply online to the CLAT website.

• Candidates must create an account on the CLAT website.

• CLAT-2025 Information Brochure (not the application form) will also be accessible from the respective website of all the participating NLUs.

• Candidates are advised to read the instructions before filling the application form.

• A candidate will have to make payment on three occasions through CLAT website viz, (i) submitting the Online Application Form (ii) if interested in downloading the Previous Year's Question papers and (iii) while participating in the counselling session.

• The mode of payment through the website is both online and offline.

• The online payment can be made through net-banking, debit card, credit card, etc. Wherein the candidate will have to bear the additional transaction costs for remitting the fees through payment gateways.

• For paying the fees offline through the website, the candidate will have to download the 'Bank Challan' that will be generated with the required information, as filled in by the candidate, and make the payment with additional bank charges at any branch of the SBI. After making the requisite payment at the bank, the candidate needs to upload the scanned PDF copy of the 'Bank Challan' and also fill in the details as required by the relevant section of the website

Application Fee:

• Applications fees can be paid online only.
• Applications fee for General / OBC / PwD / NRI / PIO / OCI Candidates : Rs. 4,000/-.
• Applications fee for SC / ST / BPL Category Candidates : Rs. 3,500/-.
• The cost of previous year's question papers is Rs. 500/- (not included in the CLAT 2024 application fee of Rs. 4000/- or Rs. 3,500/- as the case may be.)
• The candidates themselves will have to bear the bank transaction charges for remitting the fee online.

  The actual bank transaction charges will be displayed in the payment gateway page after candidates choose the mode of payment.

• Application Fees is non-refundable.

Prepare the following items before starting the CLAT 2025 Application Process:

• a functional phone number & email address
• Mark sheets for classes 10 & 12.
• ID and Proof of address (Such as PAN Card, Driver's license, or Aadhaar Card)
