The Consortium updated the CLAT Exam pattern for the 2024 exam. It is anticipated that the consortium won't make any modifications to the CLAT Exam Pattern 2025 given that it was altered for CLAT 2024. If it stays the same, The English Language and Current Affairs including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques Sections will make up the 120 sections and five parts of the CLAT Question Paper 2025.
Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 - The CLAT will be conducted in offline mode. It is an objective-paper and the total duration is two hours. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark and 0.25 mark will be deducted for incorrect answer. The examination will be conducted in English language only.
CLAT 2025 for UG Courses is based on five subjects - English Language, Current Affairs Including General Knowledge, Logical Resoning, Quantitative Techniques & Legal Reasoning.
CLAT 2025 for PG Courses is based on Law subjects - Constitutional Law, International Law, Criminal Law, Contract, Torts, IPR & Jurisprudence, Law Topics and Contemporary Issues.
It is important for applicants taking the CLAT 2025 to be aware that the consortium has not yet made the CLAT Exam Pattern available. In the interim, applicants can begin preparing by reviewing the CLAT Exam Pattern below:
Passage-Based Questions: These can be found in all four sections, except CLAT Quantitative Technique Section 2025. There will be 450-word passages in the English, Current Affairs, and Logical Reasoning areas. There will be brief sections (approximately 350 words) in the section on logical reasoning. There will be a set of questions after each passage.
Quantitative Techniques Section: This area will contain small sets of facts, assertions, graphs, pictorial representations, and so on. THe candidate must infer responses from these readings, illustrations, etc.
CLAT 2024 Total number of questions and marking scheme: There will be 120 Multiple-choice questions in the CLAT UG Exam, and each question is worth one mark.
Negative Marking: An incorrect response will result in a 0.25 Mark deduction. The CLAT 2025 exam has a total of 120 Marks.
Exam difficulty level: The CLAT exam in 2025 will be challenging, comparable to a Class 12 exam. The quantitative techniques section contains questions with a Class 10 difficulty level.
Skills to be evaluated: Candidates' comprehension and reasoning abilities will be assessed by the CLAT UG Question Paper. So, memorizing facts by heart won't work.
