National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Master of Dental Surgery (NEET-MDS) is a competitive entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
NBE was established in 1975 and it is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. NBE was established as a Society under Delhi Society registration act, to standardizing postgraduate medical education and examination in India.
It is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various Post Graduate MDS Courses under Dentists Act, 1948.
NEET-MDS is a single window entrance examination for Dental PG courses. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to PG MDS Courses as per Dentists Act, 1948.
NEET-MDS 2021 shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Postgraduate Dental Courses for the academic session 2021 which will include the following:
Registration and submission of application form for appearing in the NEET-MDS 2021 are to be undertaken online at the website www.nbe.edu.in. Application forms cannot be submitted in the offline/printed copy by post.
The following Dental institution is not covered by centralized admissions for MDS seats through NEET-MDS for 2021 session:
PG seats of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are likely to be included in 50% All India Quota Seats 2021 subject to confirmation by the respective State Governments to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
The online registration will start from 26th October 2020 from 5:00 PM Onwards. Online registration and submission of the application form must be completed by 15th November, 2020.

The examination will be held on December 16th, 2020, in a single session. The online registration and submission of application form for NEET-MDS 2021 for admission to MDS Courses for 2021 session are available at NBE website.

A candidate has to choose the city in which he/she wants to take the test. Therefore, the choice of the city will depend on the availability of the test centre in a particular city and the allotment shall be done on first come first serve basis.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the NEET MDS Round 2 registration for counselling. Candidates who want to take admission under the 50 per cent all India quota (AIQ) can visit mcc.nic.in and complete the application process.
The NEET MDS registration, fee payment, choice filling and locking facilities will be available till October 11. The seat allotment result will be published on October 14. The shortlisted candidates will have to report for admission between October 15 and October 20.7 October 2021
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has kick-started the counselling process for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2021 for admission to 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 100% seats in deemed/ central universities, ESIC and AFMC institutes.
The NEET MDS Counselling 2021 registration for round one will be available till August 24. Candidates can register online for the NEET MDS counselling 2021 through the portal - mcc.nic.in. The choice filling and locking will begin from August 21.20 August 2021
The Ministry of Health has released the NEET MDS counselling dates 2021. The counselling will start on August 20 and continue till October 10, 2021.
Earlier, the Supreme Court of India has informed the government to complete the process. The exam was held on December 16 and result was announced on December 30, 2020.

The Supreme Court has directed the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) to release the NEET MDS 2021 counselling schedule soon. Top Court's bench of Justices stated that the delay in NEET MDS counselling will lead to serious consequences for the dental candidates.
Earlier, NEET MDS 2021 exam was held on December 16, 2020. The results were declared on December 31, 2020.13 July 2021
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the NEET MDS results for all India 50 per cent quota seats. Candidates can access the NEET MDS result 2021 on the official website.
The result is available for All India 50% Quota seats of eligible candidates for admission to All India 50% quota Post Graduate MDS Courses (2021 admission session) at NBE website natboard.edu.in and website nbe.edu.in.
The official notice reads, “Individual score card for NEET MDS 2021 All India 50% quota seats will be available for download at NEET-MDS website https://nbe.edu.in by 30 June 2021. Score card for All India 50% quota seats will not to be sent to individual candidates.”
