Karnataka Common Entrance Test is a state level common entrance test, conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
The entrance test is conducted to offer admission in various undergraduate courses in the colleges of Karnataka.
Candidates who are qualified in the KCET can take admissions in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Farm Science courses i.e. BSc (Agriculture), BSc (Sericulture), BSc (Horticulture), BSc (Forestry), BSc AgriBioTech, BHSc (Home Science), BTech (Agri Engg), BTech (Food Technology), BTech (Dairy Tech), BFSc (Fisheries), BTech (Food Science &Tech), BSc (Agri Marketing & Co-Op) , BPharma, Pharma-D and 2nd year B.Pharma Lateral Entry course, in Government / University / Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka.
KCET 2020 has to be on July 30, 31, 2020. For Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates the exam is going to be held on August 01, 2020.

NOTE : A candidate who had obtained a seat in any discipline through (KEA Cell) in any of the previous years and not surrendered the seat before the last date fixed for entre of options for final round of seat allotment for the respective disciplines will not eligible for allotment of a seat to the same discipline during 2020. However, he / she is eligible to appear for CET-2020 for allotment of seat in any other discipline as per rule 15 (5) of Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006.
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the KCET result 2020 on August 21 at 12.30 pm. Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka CN Ashwathnarayan held a press conference and released the KCET result 2020.

Karnataka High Court has said KCET 2020 exam will be held as scheduled. The exam will be conducted on July 30 and 31. The High Court has also asked KEA to upload the SOP for KCET 2020.
Each room in the exam centre can have a maximum of 24 individuals. Around 8300 centres have to be provided for the exam. The exam authority released the admit card and will be conducting the exam on July 30 and 31, 2020.30 July 2020
