Karnataka Common Entrance Test is a state level common entrance test, conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
The entrance test is conducted to offer admission in various undergraduate courses in the colleges of Karnataka.
Candidates who are qualified in the KCET can take admissions in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Farm Science courses i.e. BSc (Agriculture), BSc (Sericulture), BSc (Horticulture), BSc (Forestry), BSc AgriBioTech, BHSc (Home Science), BTech (Agri Engg), BTech (Food Technology), BTech (Dairy Tech), BFSc (Fisheries), BTech (Food Science &Tech), BSc (Agri Marketing & Co-Op) , BPharma, Pharma-D and 2nd year B.Pharma Lateral Entry course, in Government / University / Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka.
KCET 2020 to be held on April 22, 23, 2020. For Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates the exam is going to be held on April 24, 2020.

NOTE : A candidate who had obtained a seat in any discipline through (KEA Cell) in any of the previous years and not surrendered the seat before the last date fixed for entre of options for final round of seat allotment for the respective disciplines will not eligible for allotment of a seat to the same discipline during 2020. However, he / she is eligible to appear for CET-2020 for allotment of seat in any other discipline as per rule 15 (5) of Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006.
The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has postponed the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) scheduled on April 23 and 24. The sources suggest that the KCET exam 2020 will be postponed until further notice.
Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, Dr Ashwathnarayan CN, has said that the KCET 2020 has been postponed indefinitely. He also said 2nd PUC exams have not yet been completed due to the condition prevailing from Novel Coronavirus.

The Karnataka Admission Authority (KEA) has started the correction facility for candidates who have successfully submitted their applications. Aspirants can make the corrections until March 27, 2020.
Candidates should note that they cannot make changes to all the particulars. The facility to make corrections will be available in online mode only. The correction window is available until March 27 upto 6 PM. KCET 2020 scheduled between April 22 and 24, 2020.20 March 2020
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is likely to reopen the application process of KCET 2020. Interested candidates who have not yet registered can visit the official site to apply online. The last date to submit the online application form is March 16, 2020.
The KEA has taken the decision after the request of many students and parents. Aspirants can apply online and pay the fees on or before March 18, 2020.
The KCET application correction facility will be available between March 19 and 25. Candidates will be allowed to make corrections to their submitted application form. The written test will be held on April 22 (Mathematics) and April 23, 2020 (Physics and Chemistry).4 March 2020

Candidates should note that the KCET 2020 application fee can be paid until March 6. The application fee is Rs 500 for General/ OBC candidates. It is Rs 250 for SC/ ST candidates. Candidates belonging to outside Karnataka should pay Rs 750 as application fee.

The Karnataka Common Entrance Examination is likely to be conducted on a single day from 2021 onwards. The announcement was made by Deputy CM and Education Minister, Aswath Narayan. The Government has taken this decision to ease students. This will help students to appear for the exam along with simplifying the overall examination.
At present, KCET is held on three days with two papers each on two days for respective streams. The Kannada language test will be held on the third day for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga. The sources suggest that the KCET will not move to online mode.
The KCET 2020 will be conducted as per the schedule. The exam will be held from April 22 to 24 with April 22 and 23 being the scheduled for papers of requisite streams. The Kannada language test is on April 24.22 February 2020
