Karnataka Common Entrance Test is a state level common entrance test, conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
The entrance test is conducted to offer admission in various undergraduate courses in the colleges of Karnataka.
Candidates who are qualified in the KCET can take admissions in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Farm Science courses i.e. BSc (Agriculture), BSc (Sericulture), BSc (Horticulture), BSc (Forestry), BSc AgriBioTech, BHSc (Home Science), BTech (Agri Engg), BTech (Food Technology), BTech (Dairy Tech), BFSc (Fisheries), BTech (Food Science &Tech), BSc (Agri Marketing & Co-Op) , BPharma, Pharma-D and 2nd year B.Pharma Lateral Entry course, in Government / University / Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka.
KCET 2019 to be held on April 23, 24, 25, 2019. For Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates the exam is going to be held on April 25, 2019.
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the schedule for the second extended round of KCET counselling 2019. The process of option entry began yesterday, July 31, 2019. Students can add, modify or delete the options as per their preference through the option entry. Candidates should surrender their allotted seat in the first or second round before accepting the allotment through the second extended round.
Candidates are advised to join the college if they are allotment a seat, otherwise, they will not be eligible for CET next year. Those who surrender their seats would be refunded the money they had paid save for a deduction of Rs 5,000.1 August 2019
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the CET first round allotment results today on the official website. The mock allotment result was released on June 27 and the first allotment result was released on June 30. The result was available on the official website – kea.kar.nic.in.
Candidates whose names are in the KCET allotment result will get admission to the colleges located in Karnataka state. The mock allotment process helps the students with indicative seat status. It will familiarize students with the concept and display the college and course allotted to them.

According to the sources, the KCET 2019 result will be available on the official website at 1 PM on May 25. The KEA has conducted the written exam on April 29 and 30, 2019. The result will be available on official websites such as kea.kar.nic.in and karresults.nic.in.
Aspirants should secure minimum 50% marks to qualify in the KCET exam. It is 40% in case of SC/ST Category. Candidates who qualify in the written examination can seek admission to engineering and technology courses.24 May 2019

The KCET 2019 answer key was released subject-wise such as physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology. Candidates who have appeared for the written examination held on April 29 & 30 can visit the official website to access the result.
Candidates have to note that they can file objections if any through online portal only between May 4 and 8, 2019. One cannot submit the objections other than online mode. KEA has also opened the editing or correction option for KCET 2019 application form. This facility is available until May 5, 2019, up to 5:30 PM.
