GATE 2024 is being organised by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a prestigious national-level exam that assess candidates for comprehensive understading in various undergraduate-level subjects in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture and Humanities.
IISc Bengaluru is the Organising Institute for GATE 2024. GATE 2024 is being conducted by IISc Bengaluru and seven IITs comprising IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee, on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. GATE 2023 will be Computer Based Test (CBT) which is being organized by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.
Candidates who qualify in GATE can seek admission with possible financial assistance to Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, and Humanities; and Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Engineering, Science, and Humanities, in institutions supported by Ministry of Education (MoE) and other Government agencies. GATE score is also used by some colleges and institutions for admission to postgraduate programs without MoE scholarship. Several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have also been using GATE score for recruitment.
GATE 2024 is being organised by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. GATE 2024 Admit Card is going to release on 03 January, 2024. The GATE 2024 Admit Card will be availabe in online mode only. The GATE 2024 Admit Card wiill be available till the end of the examination.
The GATE 2024 Exam will be conducted on 03, 04, 10 and 11 February, 2024. On the GATE Exam day, candidates need to carry the admit card along with an original identity card issued by the central / state government.

After downloading the GATE admit card, candidates are advised to check the details thoroughly on the admit card that include both personal and examination details. Question: Where to download the GATE admit card?
Answer: Candidates need to download the GATE admit card from the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).
Question: Can I carry a photocopy of my identity card to the GATE exam centre?
Answer: No. Candidates should carry only an original ID card issued by the state/centre government.
Question: What to do if I forget my GATE password?
Answer: Aspirants should visit the official website (GOAPS) and click on ‘Forgot Password’ after entering the application number. The password reset link will be sent to the respective email.
Question: When to download GATE admit card?
Answer: The admit card will be available on the GOAPS website from 03 January, 2024.
Question: Will the GATE admit card be sent to the address of communication?
Answer: No.
GATE admit cards will not be sent through post or e-mail.
