The CMAT 2025 will consist of four sections with the number of questions and maximum scoring as mentioned below:

Medium of Question Paper:
The medium of Question Paper shall be in English Only.
Marking Scheme:
1. Each question carries 04 (Four) Marks.
2. For each correct response, candidate will get 04 (Four) Marks.
3. For each incorrect response, 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score.
4. Un-answered / un-attempted will be given one marks.
5. To answer a question, the candidate need to choose one option as correct option.
6. However, after a process of Challenges of the Answer key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Answer key will be awarded marks.
7. In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.
The CMAT is designed to assess candidates' analytical thinking, reasoning skills, comprehension ability, general knowledge, and innovative mindset. Candidates can attempt question's from any section in any order, as there is no sectional time limit.

CMAT 2025 Reservations:
In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below:
Each category will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disability as defined in Section 2 (r) and (zc) of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016.
In the case of the Institutes run / aided / recognized by State Governments, the reservation policy of the respective State Governments shall be applicable.
