BITSAT Selection Procedure

The BITSAT 2025 Selection process is based on merit and eligibility criteria.

Candidates must qualify for BITSAT 2025 and fulfil the academic requirements to secure admission into BITS Pilani, Goa nd Hyderabad Campuses.

Step-by-Step BITSAT 2025 Selection Procedure

1. Appear for BITSAT 2025

• Candidats must register and attempt the BITSAT 2025 online test in Session 1 (May) or Session 2 (June), or both.
• The exam is conducted in a computer-based mode, with 130 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (or Biology), English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning.

2. Check BITSAT Score & Cutoff

• After the exam, immediate score reports are displayed on the screen.
• BITS Pilani will release official cutoffs for different programs after both sessions are conducted.
• Candidates who clear the cutoff are eligible for the admission process.

3. Apply for Admission with Class 12 Marks

• Candidates who have cleared BITSAT 2025 must submit an online admission application at bitsadmission.com.

In this step, candidates must enter:

• BITSAT Score
• 12th Board Exam Marks
• Preferred Course & Campus Choices
• Application Window: June 01 - June 30, 2025

4. Merit List & Iteration Process

BITS follows a merit-based admission process, where;

• The BITSAT score is the primary selection criterion.
• Candidates with higher scores are given preference in seat allotment.
• In case of a tie, the scores in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (in that order) are considered.

5. Final Seat Allotment & Fee Payment

• Once the seat is allotted, candidates must confirm admission by paying the admission fees before the deadline.
• Failure to pay the fees will result in cancellation of admission.
• Deadline to Accept Seat for Iteration 1: July 14, 2025

6. Direct Admission for Board Toppers

First rankers of all Central and State Boards in India are eligible for direct admission to BITS irrespective of their BITSAT Score.

This applies to all engineering programs, provided the candidate meets the minimum academic requirements.

The selection procedure and admission is based on the candidate's performance in the entrance exam and the branch they prefer.

BITSAT Expected Cut-Off 2024-2025 Admission

The Final BITSAT Score cut-offs to various degree programmes in the Academic Year (AY) 2024-25 admission session are as below:

• No of candidates appearing for BITSAT 2025 exam
• No of questions in the question paper
• Level of difficulty of the paper
• Candidates overall performance

Note:

The above-mentioned tentative Cut-Off Scores for all the courses may be changed under any circumstances.

Please note that the actual cut-off score for a programme also has further condition of breaking the bracketing rule (i.e., considering the PCM Scores) if there are more candidates at a particular BITSAT Score than seats available.
