The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)2025 is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for admission into Master of Pharmacy (M.

Pharm) Programs across India. Understanding the exam pattern is crucial for effective preparation.

Candidates who have registered online for the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) exam should appear for the computer-based test (CBT). GPAT exam is purely based on the pharmacy subject. Aspirants should consider the below point for GPAT exam pattern. 

Scheme of GPAT 2025

1. GPAT 2025 shall be conducted in a single day & single session as a computer-based examination on 25th May, 2025.

2. Syllabus : The syllabus for the GPAT shall comprise of subject / knowledge areas as per "The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm), Course Regulations, 2024".

3. The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computer network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed. An indicative Blueprint of the examination is as under:

Medium of Question Paper :

  • The medium of Question Paper shall be in English Only.

Marking Scheme:

  • Each Question carries 04 (Four) Marks.
  • For each correct response, candidate will get 04 (Four) Marks.
  • For each incorrect response, 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score.
  • Un-answered / un-attempted will be given no marks.
  • To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option which is most appropriate.
  • However, after the process of Challenges of the Answer Key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Answer Key will be awarded marks.
  • In case a Question in dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.

Marking Scheme: Allocation of marks of each MCQ shall be as follows:

There will be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

What To Do At GPAT Examination Hall? 

After entering the GPAT examination hall, they will be asked to sit at a desk with a computer terminal. Aspirants will be provided with rough papers for calculations and a pen. They should leave the rough papers at the desk.
