GATE 2025 is being organised by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a prestigious national-level exam that assess candidates for comprehensive understading in various undergraduate-level subjects in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture and Humanities.
IIT, Roorkee is the Organising Institute for GATE 2025. GATE 2025 is being conducted by IIT, Roorkee and seven IITs comprising IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IISc Bengaluru, on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. GATE 2025 will be Computer Based Test (CBT) which is being organized by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee.
Candidates who qualify in GATE can seek admission with possible financial assistance to Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, and Humanities; and Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Engineering, Science, and Humanities, in institutions supported by Ministry of Education (MoE) and other Government agencies. GATE score is also used by some colleges and institutions for admission to postgraduate programs without MoE scholarship. Several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have also been using GATE score for recruitment.
GATE 2025 is being organised by IIT, Roorkee. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has announced that there will be delay or postponed in the release of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 Admit Card. GATE 2025 Admit card will be released on 07 January, 2025. Candidates who have registered for the GATE 2025 can visit the official website - iitr.ac.in and download their admit card with the login credentials like enrolment ID & password.
The GATE 2025 Exam will be conducted on 01, 02, 15 & 16 February, 2025. On the GATE Exam day, candidates need to carry the admit card along with an original identity card issued by the central / state government.
GATE 2025 Examination will be conducted in English and test will be held for three hours. GATE Test papers format will be in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions.

Candidates need to enter their login details on the official website to download the GATE admit card. Question: Where to download the GATE admit card?
Answer: Candidates need to download the GATE admit card from the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).
Question: Can I carry a photocopy of my identity card to the GATE exam centre?
Answer: No.
Candidates should carry only an original ID card issued by the state/centre government.
