The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India entrance examination conducted for admission to postgraduate courses in the field of engineering and technology. In order to take the GATE entrance examination, candidates should have a valid admit card which will be released by the organising institute a month prior to the examination.
IIT Bombay has released the GATE 2021 admit card on January 8, 2021. The GATE 2021 admit card will be available in online mode only. The GATE 2021 admit card will be available till the end of the examination. The GATE exam will be conducted on February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14, 2021. On the GATE exam day, candidates need to carry the admit card along with an original identity card issued by the central/state government.

Step 1: Visit the official website of GATE.
Step 2: Click on the GATE admit card link.
Step 3: Enter the registered ID and password.
Step 4: The GATE admit card will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Download and take a printout of the GATE admit card.
Candidates need to enter their login details on the official website to download the GATE admit card. After downloading the GATE admit card, candidates are advised to check the details thoroughly on the admit card that include both personal and examination details. In case of any error or mistake in the GATE admit card, aspirants should contact the respective authority without any delay. As said earlier, candidates should carry the GATE admit card along with a valid identity card issued by the central/ state government. Some of the accepted identity proofs are given below.

Question: Where to download the GATE admit card?
Answer: Candidates need to download the GATE admit card from the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).
Question: Can I carry a photocopy of my identity card to the GATE exam centre?
