Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2016 cut-off marks is released.
A total of 9,71,831 candidates have registered for GATE 2016, while 8,18,850 students have appeared for the test, out of whom 6,81,441 are male and 2,90,347 are female candidates.
Of the total number of candidates who had appeared for the exam, 15 to 16 percent of the them have qualified in the exam.

About Score Card:
The GATE score card will be valid for a period of 3 years after the declaration of the results. A good GATE score helps in obtaining financial assistance during Master's degree programmes and direct Doctoral programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architecture, as well as Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of science in the institutes that are supported by the MHRD/other government agencies.
