NCHMCT, which was set-up by the govt of India as an autonomous body for the development of hospitality management education, conducts a national-level Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). NCHMCT JEE is conducted for admissions to diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in 21 central institutes and 22 state government institutes along with many food craft institutes spread across the country.

Numerical Ability And Analytical Aptitude In NCHMCT JEE

This subject is all about testing your basic maths and science knowledge. If you are familiar with any competitive examination related to the bank, you will find this subject very easy. Devote 2-3 hours on the last day for revising the formulae. During the last week, give importance to the concepts such as time and distance, simple and compound interest, time and work, LCM & HCF and basic simplifications.

Reasoning And Logical Deduction In NCHMCT JEE

The reasoning subject is not a hard nut to crack, if you get the trick in given time. This tests your logical skills and practising problems is the only way you'll score well in this section. Always try to understand the concepts to get the best results. The most important sections for the last week are blood relations, data interpretation, series, coding and decoding, linear arrangement and syllogism.

General Knowledge And Current Affairs In NCHMCT JEE

This has a vast syllabus, and for this reason many students give least importance to this subject. By preparing a list of daily happenings one can score well in this section. Take a general knowledge book of your choice and try to read it at least for two hours daily during the last week. Make a note of all the recent events.

English Language In NCHMCT JEE

This section has the lion's share with a total of 60 questions. And this will be the deciding section in the entrance examination. The institute gave importance to this section because English is required in every part of hotel management. One has to be good at vocabulary besides synonyms and antonyms. Aspirants are suggested to give important to the sentence rearrangement, sentence formation, one-word substitution, comprehension passage and analogies.

Aptitude For Service Sector In NCHMCT JEE

The hospitality industry earns revenue through goodwill which can be attained only through quality service. This is the reason why the institute dedicated a total of 50 questions to this part. The marks will be awarded to candidates for the most appropriate answer; hence, try to eliminate the answers while practising. Give time to hone your interpersonal, decision and communication skills.
