The most popular entrance examination for admissions to Bachelor of Architecture (B Arch) programmes, National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) will be held every year in April. NATA, conducted by Council of Architecture (COA), can't be combined with the other examinations because it requires a separate aptitude test.

NATA is one amongst the examinations that test the aspirant's creativity and critical thinking. The test format of NATA comprises of two parts namely multiple choice questions (MCQ) and drawings. For every correct answer in mathematics and general aptitude candidates will gain two marks. And the most important point is that there is no negative marking in NATA. A total of 20 in mathematics and 40 in general aptitude will be asked. Attempt every single question in NATA. During the last-week preparations, hone your skills on the elimination process.

Where To Improve In NATA Drawing

The drawing test consists of two questions and should be answered in 90 minutes. Each question carries 40 marks. Aspirants should do their best to make their drawings visually appealing. Practise using the colours in given composition while creating.

Though mathematics is not a hot section in NATA, leaving this part will cost you. The mathematics paper has a total of 20 questions. Aspirants should focus more on the basic concepts during this final week. If you have a strong hold of the basic concepts, you can still guess the answers with the eliminate process.

The topics such as the coordinate geometry and 3-dimensional coordinate geometry are very important. During the last week, you should also focus on permutation and combination, statistics and probability.

Tips For General Aptitude In NATA

This is the most important section in NATA. And one should give cornerstone to this during the final leg of their preparations. Recall all the concepts in the architectural design theory and basic construction terminology. The question paper will even consist of a few general awareness concepts such as famous architects and their buildings in India and the world.

Dedicate at least two hours for the general awareness section on the last day, because you can solve them in a minute. Don't focus much on the mathematical reasoning on the last day, because you've to focus on other important areas.

Last-day Tips For NATA

The last-day preparations play a key role in every entrance examination and there is no exception for NATA. Aspirants can follow the suggestions we have mentioned in the each section. However, this will not be sufficient to crack the exam. Here are some more tips:

Do not analyse any topic on the last day, specifically in the general aptitude section.
Never mug up the formulae and concepts.
