Earlier, the deadline for paying the application fee was March 3, 2026, but the authority extended the window to provide additional time to applicants amid ongoing board examinations and festivals.

However, the extension applies only to candidates who have already completed the KCET 2026 registration process. The registration window itself closed on February 27, 2026.

What is KCET?

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority for admission to undergraduate professional courses across the state. Through this entrance test, candidates can secure seats in programmes such as engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, and veterinary sciences in participating colleges across Karnataka.

Every year, lakhs of students appear for the examination, making it one of the most important state-level entrance tests for students seeking admission to professional courses in Karnataka.
